I haven't received mine yet. But, I saw a sample with holes all along the bottom edge of the card. You just stamp the first two holes, and then you can line them up with the punch in the last hole (make sense?). You can punch holes on each side of a card and then weave ribbon/cord through them to wrap in an "x" shape on the front of the card. Punch it in the center of a circle to make a button. Lots of ideas. Can you tell I'm waiting impatiently for mine to arrive?!
Have fun!

Obviously, you can use it to tie bows on your cardfront. Just put the two ends of the ribbon through the holes to the front, tie the first one right side up, turn upside down to tie the bow, then twist it one half turn to make a nice straight bow.
The two hole punch also makes the coolest cheater bows: much perkier looking than the rectangle punch can do! Just put the two ends of your ribbon through the front of your cardstock and bring one end through the opposite hole and the other end through the other hole. It's a bit tricky, since there isn't a lot of room in those holes, but it squinches up the ribbon nicely and makes a nice tight looking bow.

Karen -
I used the double punch (punched twice) to attach crayons to cards. See this link for an example and directions for attaching the crayons. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

Hey Guys!
Thanks for the tips!!!! I knew I could count on SCS to give me some great tips! My only problem (okay I do have more than one but this one I'm willing to admit to!! ) is getting the bow straight! I am going try your hints Jan, and see if I can't make it work!

I just did a layout where I used the punch to put holes all around a double picture mat, and then I sewed with hemp all around. It was time consuming, but the result was fantastic!
