Default New to stamping

Hello everyone. I am very new to the stamping world. I have been visiting your message boards for a few weeks now. Let me introduce myself a bit and tell you how I got started with stamping.

My name is Kathi and I live in Milwaukee, WI with my DH of 5 years and our 4 kitties. We have no children so our cats are spoiled as if they were our own kids. I am into lots of crafts and I bounce from project to project.

That is kind of how I got into stamping. I went to a crafting weekend with some other girls I met through another message board I frequent regularly. I brought some cross stitching project but really didn't feel like working on them. One other girl had brought all her SU sets and was showing off some of the cards she has made. She got me to try some of it. I was HOOKED. I love the fact that I can finish a project in such a short period of time and get instant gratification. After I got back from that weekend I was invited to a stamping party. I had never been to a SU party before so it was pure coincidence that I was invited to this shortly after I was introduced to Stamping. I had a blast. We made 10 cards for $10. I placed an order immediately. I even am considering being a rep. I can't commit to that at the moment but I will bet in the near future I will be a rep.

I am also a rep for a direct sales company called Country Bunny Bath & Body. You can visit my westore by clicking in my signature. I love that company and the products are the best I have ever found.

Enough of my rambling. I am off to browse the gallery a bit more.

Default Welcome!

Hi Kathi!
Welcome from a fellow Wisconsinite! I am up here in Oshkosh... And reading your post was like reading a page from my own life! lol. No kids, just cats! I also bounce around from project to project. I am pretty committed to stamping, scrapbooking, counted cross-stitch, and crocheting (I go in streaks!), but I've also dabbled in other things like knitting, one stroke painting, etc.

I have been stamping for a few years now, but I still feel like I am new to the hobby when I compare my creations with some of the talented ladies of SCS!

Enjoy the site and let me know if you're ever in Oshkosh! We could do lunch!

Yes, you really do sound a lot like me. I am into stamping, cross stitch, sewing, quilting, I attempted crochet and knitting, I make fabric covered photo albums and I also make diaper cakes. If you click on View my crafts in my signature you can see some of my finished work.
