Is it just me or are these all starting to look the same?

Nope, it's not just you. I see SO many different sets (since I work at Mike's), and they really do start looking alike. Of course, once these ones hit my store, I'll have to get them all, too. ;) We only just got the new set of wood $1 stamps this week though, so it's anyone's guess when we'll get the next set of clear stamps.

We don't ever get any new wood stamps- they have last year's Christmas ones in there still. Blech!

I've been at my 2 Michaels this week, still no new Studio G or $1 wood stamps. It's weird. They should have the last year's xmas $1 wood stamps at $.50 and bring in the new ones.
I just wish Studio G would come out with some manly stamps and holiday ones.
Thanks for posting the picture.

I'll be amazed to see my Michaels having these. They are still having the old sets in their bins..wishful thinking.

That's exactly what I was thinking. But I have to admit the baby ones are cute. And I have been looking for some Birthday ones that were a little smaller than what I have. That birthday one looks like it will fit the bill.

I just went to my M's today, they had the new studio g's, I had all 12 in my basket plus 12 for my twin sister (okstamper) making sure I didn't have any duplicates, I get home...I had 4 of the same. Now I have to go back tomorrow to see what one I'm missing. But no new $1 wood stamps though.

I found these by accident! They still have some of the old ones in the bin so I thought it was the same ole, same ole....NOT! I don't think they look the same at all. I actually think that they look a little bigger and better quality! Also, there are only 12 instead of the 16.

I work at Mike's in Canada, and I often marvel at the differences between stores in the M-Empire. We have a rather intense stamping community here, and without any major stores (like Jo-Ann's or Hobby Lobby or the others in the states) to provide competition, Mike's is just about the only place to go for $1 ($1.50 CDN) stamps in our area. We keep wishing for more Christmas $1 stamps at our store, because the last we saw was a couple of years ago -- at least, that's what it seems like. We just got our first shipment of new $1 wood stamps last week, and we're hoping for more, since only 2 boxes (12 full sets) doesn't go very far. We still have a bunch of the previous set to sell through, but it seems that every day, a new person walks in the door and sees the huge bin of $1 woods we've got as if for the first time.

Because we sell so many of these stamps, we generally keep getting more -- at least that's the theory of the auto-replenishment system of ordering that we have at Mike's. I've seen the reports this week for what we're supposed to get on Monday's regular warehouse shipment, and it looks like we'll get some more $1 wood stamps (but no indication of which set it will be), and we're supposed to get a couple of boxes of $1 clear stamps -- still without any indication of WHICH clear stamps they will be. I think we've only had 2 sets of clear stamps here, so *I* think we're due for a new set, but for all I know, it will be stuff that we've already had and that we're a little bored with. Whatever they are, though, I'm pretty sure they'll go fast.

Of course, I've barely used the clear stamps I've already got. They are fairly small, and I still need to figure out how to include them in my card designs. Just about all I've come up with so far is trying to use them on 3x3 mini-cards or gift enclosures.

Any ideas?

you can check out the gallery (put Michael's or $1 stamps) and you will get a large array of different cards done with those stamps. I am hoping for some new Christmas ones as well. I bought all of the mini halloween ones so I hope I get inspired to use them well! : )

Today I was on a mission !!!
I went to 3 Michaels and a Joanns.
At store one I found all 12 of the new ones, pictured in this post, and a few that I guess are from set 1? at store two there were none and at store three I found all 16 of set 3? (pink & white packaging). On the way home we went by a Joanns so I decided to stop, didn't figure I would find any, but found 10 there and best of all they were on clearance for 50 cents!! All the stores had a lot of stuff on clearance, I was able to get a bunch of wood mounted stamps for 50 cents too, they were not the $ ones. Doing a happy dance here, since usually i can never find the neat stuff everyone else finds.

Smile New Clear Stamps in Winnipeg

Hey 'Peggers! The latest set of clear stamps just hit the St. Vital Mikes! We got several boxes this morning, and they are already out on the floor -- in the round tower racks in the front of the store.

I couldn't help myself -- I was going through the first box of the shipment within minutes of it coming off the truck. After looking at all 12 designs, I got 11 out of the 12 (one of them didn't really do much for me), and a few more of the acrylic blocks, just so I could use more stamps at once without needing to swap them out so often.

These are really nice stamps, with a different designer than the previous sets. I haven't had a chance to play yet, but I have started looking in the gallery for ideas. I have WAY more looking and playing to do, though.

Good hunting for everyone else!

Default Studio G, series #6

Here in Central Ohio:

I just got back from a visit at Michaels. They had all the Studio G - series #6 set. No Christmas yet. When I asked the clerk, she said they were still getting in xmas stuff as autumn sells out, so they should be coming. Then she leaned over and whispered to me, as she passed me pen/paper 'write down your name + number and I will call when I stock them'. How GREAT is that?

watch for sightings,
Valerie
