Default Sizzix BIGZ dies in Cuttlebug ...

Does anyone know if they work? I wanted to get one of the Sizzix Bigz Monograms. I have the original Sizzix diecutter and Cuttlebug. Wondering if it will work. TFS.

I know the original Sizzix is too small for the Bigz--you'd have to use the Big Kick or Big Shot. I'm not sure about the Cuttlebug though...

Go to the "Sticky" thread about Cuttlebug. It's near the top of the Tool & Product list. Someone made a list of all the dies and folders that work well and just how to "sandwich" them in the machine.

I have use the big sizzix in my cuttle bug. For me I put the
Plate A
2 pieces of chipboard cut larger then the die.
1 piece of chipboard cut to fit just inside the bottom of the die.
The Die
Plate B on top.

I use lots of sizzix dies with my cuttlebug. I have so much fun!!!

I just use 2 b plates with my dies. (These are the red ones).

The first set of b plates that came with my cuttlebug cracked and finally broke when I first used them with the dies, but I bought another set of plates and these are doing just fine - even cutting chipboard with the sizzix dies.

Have fun!

Default Sizzix Bigz Dies

Yes the Bigz dies will work on the Cuttlebug. Use them between two "B" plates. I purchased several when Sizzix had that 70% off sale. However, the cutting plates will not go thru the Cuttlebug. You will have to cut off about a 1/4" of the cutting plates in order to use them on the Cuttlebug. The Ellison/Sizzix embossing mat is also about a 1/4" too wide.

I also use the Big Z in the Cuttlebug. as long as it is less than 5 inches wide. You may not need both plates, depending on what you are cutting. Good Luck!

I have a customer who wants to use the BigzL Perfect Pennants in her cuttlebug. I don't have one, so I'm not sure what to tell her.

Also, if it will fit, how does she sandwich it?

Thanks!

Sandwich for Cuttlebug and BigzL: B Plate, die, cardstock face down on die, B Plate.

You may have to hold the front part of the sandwich and "scrunch" it a little bit until it goes between the rollers and begins to go through. Mine seems like a tight fit, but does fine with this sandwich.

If you don't need both plates for some reason, be sure to have the B Plate on top of the die and cardstock, not beneath. You don't want the die cutting into the Cuttlebug rollers.

I do the same thing, 2 B plates and have had to use just one sometimes. Always on top too.

The Pendants work perfectly. The diecut on the bottom, paper, then the plastic topper. Happy cutting!
