I used baby food jars for favors at my daughter's baby shower. She was having a boy, so I painted the lids blue, made my own label and put blue candies in them, then tied them up with a blue bow! HTH
I don't use them for stamping but I buy all of my herbs and spices in bulk and store them in spice jars with a label on top. I store them in a drawer and it keeps them very organized.
I have stamped on them using versa mark and glass etching and then I fill them full with colored espon salts for gifts.... I also make homemade jam and put it them... They are great to fill with brads and some ribbon and little stuff to give out as hostess gifts or prizes at a workshop... Hope this was helpful...
I use them to store those different shaped confettis (like ghosts, pumpkins, stars, flags, clovers, hearts, etc.), lengths of miscellaneous ribbons, and embellishments like miniature clothespins and colored paperclips. I store them upside down in my drawer so I can see what's inside.

I saw a great tip online somewhere (of course, it was after we'd stopped the jarred baby food and I didn't have any any more). To use them as storage containers:
1 - get a 2x4 (or whatever length) of wood that you can mount on the wall
2 - nail or screw the lids into the bottom of the wood
3 - you have a display shelf on the top and can "screw" the jars with supplies into the bottom so they "hang"
I love repurposing stuff -- a ton of my supplies are in decorated small coffee canisters and I'm getting ready to make a paint can tin out of a gourmet peanut jar!!! I think it's so much more fun than buying the item!

My grandfather used to do this with all his extra parts in the basement. I remember going down there and unscrewing them and moving them! it's a really great idea too!
I used babyfood jars to make lighted christmas trees! They are so pretty to have on a counter and sjut the lights of in the room! Set them on the counter and start with one for the top, then two, ect til you get the size you want and the number of xmas lights strand (35 ) is a good size. Paint the lids green and drill a hole in top to insert lights (hot glue to keep in place) glue bottles on the sides so lids are in back trim around tree with green garland and mount on a wood rectangle for base. I made these for gifts one year. YOu can do multi color or single color. Very pretty!
