I have a question about mesh. I read on the forum, drywall tape can be inked and used as mesh. I got some from Home Depot and want to make sure I have the right item. It is self adhesive drywall joint tape. Also, does the ink really color it? It doesn't seem like color would adhere.
Hmmm, drywall tape. Never thought of that. What a great idea!! My husband (Mr. Fix-It) would be so proud of me if I used drywall tape on my cards!! Any ideas on using duct tape?? He would really be impressed then!! LOL Maybe I should dig in all of his stuff out in the garage and see what else I can use....
I love using drywall tape as well. I have had great success with using versamark ink on it and then embossing it. You need to stick it to freezer paper first and then move it to another surface after coating it with EP, but you can change it to whatever embossing powder color you own. I haven't had any luck with dye inks, but I do think that pigment inks may work - unfortunately I just haven't collected any of these yet. Oh dear - more things to buy :?
