I opened up the Sunday paper ads and almost peed my pants. JoAnn Ect had an ad for 40% of all scrapbooking supplies. Some of the JoAnns products are 50%!!! YIPPIE
So I couldn't resist. I got dressed and ran to Joanns Ect...thankfully its just down the road.
If anyone lives in the Apple Valley, Minnesota area you might be dissapointed if you go to JoAnns in AV cause I think I bought ALL of their embelishments... :oops: Got a little gready....sorry
I got stuff from decorative brads, metal edge tags, metal tags (kinda like metal magic tags), those clear raised square & cirlce thingies! Oh what a deal!!!
Hope you all get a chance to stock up on your embelishments too!!
Whoa, that's the JoAnn's I shop at! Did you leave anything for the rest of us? Is it worth my trip if i go? LOL!

Honestly....you could go check it out...but there wasn't much left when I went 11:00....I had to rummage!! I bet if you go in mid week they may have restocked!! Call them and find out when they stock their shelves....maybe they'll have more tomorrow. I only live 5 minutes down the road so you bet your bottom I'm gonna check it out a couple time throughout the week!! YIPPIE

I was out running errands yesterday and stumbled across JoAnn's great sale--bought tons of embellishments and all the fiskar hand-held punches. Definitely worth the trip!!!
This sale has been going on for a week, so your Jo's may be 'picked' over but definatly worth checking out and checking on restocking...all the scrapbook supplies are 40% off and some are 50%!!!
All the punches are also 40% off...I got the wrought iron puch and square steps, along with another set of 1/16th and 1/8th inch circles (lasttime someone borrowed them to set eyelets they broke one). My Jo's also has a lot of Making Memories (pretty copper antique brads to go with the new SU! copper paper line), and there was also a 40% coupon too so you can buy Staz-on if your Jo's carries it (mine only had black and red). All the jewelry supplies are also 40 or 50% off so I got a lot of hemp too...or you can buy beads
I also bought some Shrinky Dink paper as it was a 'kids' craft package that was also on sale...so many choices
Parisotremba - Oh my gosh, I signed on to post about this huge sale, and there's already a thread! LOL They have Xyron makers at 50% off! I don't have one yet, and I"m going in a couple of hours to see if they have any left! I'm so excited! They have all their scrapbooking stuff at 40% off, but I don't use much that isn't Stampin Up. Stamps aren't on sale, either, by the way, but that's what you use that great coupon for I have coupon codes for free online shipping, if anyone's interested. I have a meeting at church in a half hour, then it's off to JoAnne! Hey, twin, are you out there?? I"m going to get some metal edge tags, too, I'll add some to my little pile here for you!!!

I have been three times in the last week...got a xyron 510 and laminating cartridges...the "x", Poly shrink, Sharpie pack of 17 (use coupon for that), wine charm dodads, tons of eyelets and brads...found the alphabet brads someone posted about..I am sure there is more but cant think
Oh, do I ever have a DH story to tell you all! My husband truly is the World's Most Wonderful. He went with me to JoAnne Etc. this evening. I shot straight for the Xyron's, thinking I'd get the one that is smaller, not sure the model number, and half price would be about $5-$10. Right? Nope! They only had 500's and 510's for the models. One was $50, one was $40. So, I just kept walking around (looking for "bellies," Twin!!) and my wonderful hubby comes to find me. He asks why I don't have one in the baskey, and I explain I just don't have enough in my Stampin Up account, because I want to place an order Tuesday. He asks, "Well, aren't they half off?" Well, yes, but 20 bucks is 20 bucks. He just grins at me, and says, "Well, then I"ll buy it!" He got me some metal edge tags and metal frames, too, (B1G1 Free!) How wonderful is that? Just had to share.

I had posted this sale last weekend and have gone there twice since! Sounds like the JoAnn's that you all go to have a better selection than the one by me. the only Xyron we had was the 'X' and the 500...got the 500 but the cartridge was messed up, so I have to take that back :( We don't have any Making Memories stuff...just JoAnn's store brand (which is just as nice and good selection).
Have fun shopping...I NEED to stay away from there the rest of the week!
We do not have a JoAnn's or any other craft store here.... I have to shop Walmart or Office Depot.

I could drive an hour and a half and get to Hobby Lobby or Michaels but the hubby thinks that is sinceless to drive that far to go spend money when I do a fine job of that right here at the computer!!! :shock:

You will survive - I have been here 3 years already! If you like to drive you will be ok but I do most of my shopping through the internet!! I love getting pkgs!! You get to go to the "Big Cities" on the weekends! Love those weekend trips so we can have good food and good shopping..... Altho if you dont shop online and you dont take those trips you could really save some $$$$!!!

On second thought - we could just pack up the kiddos and make a day trip while the guys are working! There will be some long days in my dh's future!!! We could take full advantage of that you know
Angie is AWESOME and I'm a repeat customer of hers. I like buying things in smaller quantities to try out, and she's got LOTS of sample sizes of brads, eyelets and other stuff. She mails stuff out very quickly too, I get my things within a few days.

Keri - Shipping is great, she charges a flat fee according to how much $$ you spend, and it's not much. There's a minimum order of $10, and I think if you subscribe to her newsletter you get $2 off. I just sent an order in a couple of weeks ago, and didn't spend much at all! But I got some GREAT pastel colored circle clips and some square brads in the Pastel colors. They are very close to our Soft Subtles, and will be cute!! She also has adorable sea-themed eyelets I got to use with Fishy Friends. I can't even remember now how I found the site, but I have it in my favorites now.
