I'm closer to www.scrapbookobsession.com and there's also www.scrapbook911.com, too. Good times!

Memory Depot in Austin but they're online isn't much.

I think it's www.memorydepotonline.com

Also, www.scrapbookcupboard.com (also in Austin).

Imprints is a rubber stamp store in Fort Worth
Scrappity Do Dah is a scrapbook store in Grand Prairie
Recollections is a chain in several areas (I go to the one in Arlington)

I have heard of but not been to Heavenly Scrapbooks or Scrappers Heaven
in the Fort Worth area
Scrapbook Warehouse in the Lewisville area
**I know that more ladies will chime in with their awesome ideas

FYI--there will be a stamp convention in Arlington at the end of July. I am not an SU demo but even if you are and have never been to a rubber stamp convention they are great!!! I so enjoy seeing the artists demo techniques and just seeing what is out there. I would love to meet up with any of you all that might be going. Just think, a huge air conditioned room in the heat of July in Texas surrounded by rubber stamps! Hey, Texas IS God's country!

Hey Jackie!

I work in a great scrapbook store on the north side of Houston...Lonestar Scrapbook store. It's the largest in the Houston area.

www.lonestarscrapbbok.com

And there is also a rubber stamp convention on June 4 & 5 at the Pasadena convention center. I have picked up some cool techniques in the past. Usually not very crowded.

I absolutely love Stamp Salado in Salado, Texas. I go to a few other local stores but to me they are just that...just stores. I think your looking for something that WOWS you. Well, it isn't just the store in Salado, but they always offer classes that make you go hmmm! I like to go hmmm!

In SW Houston area, Missouri City has www.thescrapbookvillage.com I haven't been to Lonestar mentioned previously, so I can't compare, but it is the largest I have ever been to. They are constantly updating their products and have the latest and greatest!

There are other LSSs in NW Houston and Pearland. None have compared to this yet.

The Novel Approach (www.novelapproach.com) in Friendswood, TX is a wonderful store. I also like Papers by Catherine (www.papersbycatherine.com) in Houston, TX. Can hardly wait for the Rubber Stamp and Scrapbook Expo in Pasadena, TX on June 4th & 5th. I had a great time there last year. I will have to venture out to the Woodlands to check out The Lonestar Scrapbook Company.

Thank you Ann for the recommendation of Lonestar Scrapbooking in The Woodlands. OMG! It was awesome. I asked if you were there, but you were not that day. It was a couple of Tuesdays ago....

Default salado

I was going to mention stamp salado, but seeing how someone already did...there is a stampin store in killeen, scraps happen. It's a good store, but small. the owners are really nice and they have a stamp of the month class and other cool classes. If you do go to salado, this is a side note about salado, check out the strawberry patch, and mr. wigglesworths, my two all time favorite stores on main street. Also, salado creek at pace park is wonderful for the kiddies to play in. we went there nearly every sunday in the summer when I was growing up. Also, every year they have an arts and crafts festival at the creek. I haven't been to that in years, though. My mom hasn't been impressed the last couple of years, but her taste and mine don't run the same anymore...anyway, spend some time in salado. Go to the stagecoach inn, or the mansion (if you like mexican food) to eat. It's a wonderful place.

I posted some earlier in the thread but we have a new store here in Arlington called Scrappin' Corner about a mile west of Cooper on Arkansas Lane. Her store has a lot of neat embellishments and lots of great paper. I am not a scrapper but I was very impressed. Lots of alphabet stamps, Making Memories and different acrylic mounts.

In Amarillo, they have Two Step Stampin, and Down Memory Lane2. In Lubbock they have Down Memory Lane. These are all awesome stores, treasures around every corner. In Midland there is a store called Thee Little Bazaar. The lady that ownes it, Debbie Sanchez, is extremely knowledgeable about tons of techniques. She has been published lots, and she never minds sharing her knowledge. She just asks that you buy the supplies from her if she shows you how to do something. It is a cool little store if you're ever out in West Texas.

Wanted to tell everyone that Stamp Salado in Salado is closing March 30 due to the owners health. I'm so sad, it's such a nice store and close to Austin. I just saw this thread when I was searching for stamp store in Central Texas. A lot of the smaller stores are closing which I'm sorry to see go. If your close to Stamp Salado they are having close out sales until the store closes.

I was in Texas in 2012 and thoroughly enjoyed Stamp Antonio Arts on the north side of San Antonio. Also, Deadbeat Designs Rubber Stamps is a Texas-owned company with many Texas designs; check where his products are sold for some good ideas for Texas shops and those in other states.

Also, in Plano is Stamp Asylum . I found the owner/manager to be very pleasant and helpful. It's on Coit, near Mardel bookstore. At least it was the last time I was in the U.S. ;)

Good news! Got an email this morning and Stamp Salado will STAY OPEN!!!! I guess someone else is going to buy it and keep it going. Yay!

Oh - and the closeout sales will end today, I believe, since the store is staying open. :-)

More updates. Memory Depot in Austin closed in 2010. :-(

Crop Paper Scissors in Waco moved to a smaller location with less stock. She's migrating to more of an on-line store. If you go, tell the owner, Emily, that Linda sent you. You'll see my card samples all over the store.

So Happy Stamp Salado is staying open. It's a stamper's dream! And Salado is so fun to visit. Sir Wigglesworth store closed years ago. But, Mud Pie Pottery still sells Sir Wigglesworth fudge. Yumm!

Archivers is a chain, but lots and lots of stock. They just moved from North Austin to Cedar Park (just North of Austin). If you go to Archivers, go to their website first - they often have coupons.
