I realize everyone has their favorite colors and least-favorite colors (and I started that thread on least-favorite colors), but I'm wondering why no one likes Mint Medley? It's not one of my favorites, and I haven't used it a lot (but then I'm a fairly new stamper and even newer SU demo!). Has anyone searched the gallery for Mint Medley to find some cool ways to use that color?
I like it!!! I have one card in my gallery that uses it, and more that I just haven't added yet. It reminds me of spring, my favorite time of year!
Someone else mentioned this in the post about least favorite colors, and I have to agree - it also reminds me of mint chocolate chip ice cream....yumm!!!!
ok now i'm confused, is it mint melody or mint medley??? i always thought it was mint melody. but i'm also too lazy to get up to check the catalog.
That's Sage Shadow on the SU! cover (along with Choc. Chip, basic brown, close to cocoa, baroque)
I'm not crazy about Mint Melody either, but I found a few good samples on pages 184/185 and 174/175.
Speaking of mint CC ice-cream... how about using the Chocolate Chips wheel on pg 102 with MM? (if I owned it, I'd give it a try....) Would love to see any samples if anyone out there happens to own a chocolate chip ink cartridge and chocolate chip wheel... this can get confusing, and all this chocolate-talk is making me hungry!!!
I like Mint Melody! I use it for baby cards when I don't know what the baby is. I also use it with Lavendar Lace, Pretty in Pink, and Barely Banana. It's not a bad color!
I don't care for it because when I bought my condo both bedrooms were painted a bright mint green...including the closets! It looked horrible and took 3, yes 3, coats of white paint to cover it up and it's still seeping through in some areas. I ran out of paint for one of my closets, so it's still mint!
So this is why I'm not very fond of Mint Melody...I do like chocolate mint chip icecream though!
Nan- love both of your MM samples!! I never thought to use the Turqu & MM, but they look great together! and the Choc chips are to die for... MMM MMM MMM!
