After I recently reorganized my craft area I realized I have several tools/supplies that I *had* to have but I have never used them. I can't be the only one.
I thought if I list them here maybe others can tell me what they do with it and that will inspire me to use them.
I invite you to list your unused or under-used tools here in the hopes that another SCS'er can give us some ideas. I can't be the only one that buys things and never uses them.:?
Here are mine:
crimper brayer Masquepen (tried it once but it did not work, maybe I'm doing it wrong) Fastenator Fiskar's circle border punch Ranger's mini sprayers (empty you fill them with something, what besides water???)
and my big one --- TAGS After reorganizing I realized I must be the Queen of Tags. If I piled them up it would easily be 10"+ high -- and I never use them! Apparently I just like to buy them.
Ideas please!!! And list your underused/never used stuff. I'm confident that someone will have an idea for it.
Thank you!!

Right now I have a ton in my "room" that isn't used. We're currently renovating the basement to include a craft/play area for me and the kids so it hopefully will get better...LOL
BUT, here's the stuff I can find and reach and don't use...
I use my brayer to press my paper down on my older Cricut mats and onto BG stamps!
I don't use my non-SU markers or non-SU paper as well as a bunch of stickers I thought I wanted at the time and some older stamps....going to freecycle them. As far as tools I have one Fiskars punch that I don't use but I do use absolutely everything else.

I love my brayer!!! I use it to make sure layers are down. And the coluzzle- except for the string bow template. Hated that one.
I have to admit my biggest mistake- the color cut markers. They have a blade in the marker, so they cut and add a border at the same time. I just hate them. And they were expensive!! sigh.
Hmmm, this is a very interesting thread. The things that come to my mind are items that I don't regret buying--I just haven't had time to get to them, yet!! I'm collecting them!!
punches--like the library pocket, tiny envelope, tickets
yes, I have a coluzzle, too
also, a couple of the fiskars circle punches
a couple of different eyelet setters (I really still like my hammer and setter)
Fiskars texture plates & Big Impressions starter kit (I'm getting to this, soon!!)
The Wizard is probably the biggest item I have that I just don't use. Especially since I got my cuttlebug.
I can only think of 4 off the top of my head.... considering how many I own I don't think that's so bad. When I bought my heat tool I thought for sure it would sit collecting dust, but I use it constantly.
Crimper
Scrapboss
Circle Scissors (bought Curvy Cutter a week later and it works much better)
Brayer
I've working hard at removing those items that I've purchased and haven't used. (Like the four or five paper trimmers I gave to someone, the bunch of punches I just sold on eBay, etc.)
I do have the fastenator but haven't used it yet. Actually, thanks to your post I just remembered that I have it. I also have the Basic Grey punch tool that I haven't used yet. I also have a TON of the Sizzix dies that are waiting for inspiration. I suppose I should get rid of a lot of them too. Being a pack rat is hereditary and I'm trying very hard to overcome this. (Not to mention it makes moving so much easier, although I don't plan on moving EVER.)
I have a lot of the Coluzzle items but again, I don't really consider this as stamping "baggage" as I know I will use it some time, just not every day or maybe even every month. I like that I can make circles, squares, ovals, and other fun shapes in many sizes. I tried that EK Success Circle Scissors (the new pink one) and hated it. Brought that back. My circles weren't circular - like the beginning cut and the ending one didn't match up. (And I was using the glass cutting mat too.)
Some day I will use the tools. That's what I tell myself anyhow. ;)

Stamp-ama-jig (bought it, sold it, bought it AGAIN and still don't use it)
Design Runner (have tried several times to "love" this tool...not happenin')
Fastenator (really don't know what I was thinking when I bought this thing)
I have to admit my biggest mistake- the color cut markers. They have a blade in the marker, so they cut and add a border at the same time. I just hate them. And they were expensive!! sigh.

BUMMER. I've been looking at buying some of these. :(
I haven't used UTEE since I bought it. Other than that I think I use most of the things I have. I haven't used the templates the Coluzzle came with (crooked heart- tag) but I LOVE my circle and round corner rectangle templates.
I am cleaning out all of my "stuff" right now - interesting thread, these are my items:
a) MM tool kit - used once, use the stamp-a-jig all the time
b) coluzzle - can't get the angle right, sticking with my other cutting tools
c) crimper - had to have, never used
d) lots of specialty brads and eyelets - never used
e) lots of 'cute' ribbon - never used
I have been posting several items on ebay to sell - along with retiring stamp sets and others that, again, I had to have and have never used.
Definitely my crimper...not my style, bought it to do one project only
chalks..not really a tool, but I don't use them much
I use my brayer for background stamps, but not much else.
A box of pre punched squares, in all different colors, like 2000 of them???
Eyelets, why use them, when brads are sooo much easier?!
Watercolor pencils...they don't match SU colors, what a bother!
Coluzzle-HATE IT THE MOST!!!
Several "slabs" of paper that weren't my style to begin with, but the price caught me and I purchased them anyway. I just recently went through and gave my 2 DD tons of paper to play with...makes me feel less guilty for purchasing it!
Decorative edged scissors, about 10 or 12 pairs of them!
I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can think of without going to look.
Ranger mini sprayers:
I recently bought that package of 3 Ranger mini sprayers, too. I thought they would be great for special effect techniques. I filled one with Ranger Alcohol Ink Blender and sprayed glossy paper that had been previously decorated with alcohol inks. It gave it a rained on spotty effect that I liked. I filled the second one with water and use it on stamps that I want the watercolor effect. I am going to fill the third one with bleach and experiment to see what kind of looks I can get on colored cardstock. Since the sprayers are small they only use a couple teaspoonsfull of liquid and they don't take up much room in my storage drawers. I think at $4.99 they were a good bargain.
What are some other ideas?
I use my brayer on the backside of my cardstock when I am attaching matted layers. I think it helps to secure all the edges of the matts down on the cardstock.
I use my stampamajig often now that I got the hang of it and really find it helpful especially for stamping sentiments on straight.
The tools that I never use are the Perfect Layers and the Layer Ease.
4 inch cheeta ~ have the 2inch love it why did I need both?
CM journal helper ~ supposed to help you write in a straight line, even underwater letters, I NEVER use it!
CM old style wave cutter - moves too much for me
CM specialty blades, decorative, used them for one project, power paper, haven't touched them since
Stamp-a-ma-jig - could probably use it since I am **** about my images being "straight" but don't really know how
Lots of ribbon
Lots of paper - like the SLAB, what was I thinking, never again
Fibers - just don't do it for me like ribbon does!
Stuff that doesn't match anything- saw it thought it was cute, maybe it was on sale, bought it, but nothing else to go with it!!
Mis matched crazy storage - just bought as I went along and it's not working, need to bite the bullet and buy nice matching that works and sell the rest!
On the other hand things other's have listed that I do use:
Crimper- don't use often but LOVE the look of it, will use to make a strip going down a card or across a page, helps me add dimension to my pages and work - something I struggle with
Coluzzle - even though I sometimes struggle with it I love it because I have the envelope template and I can make custom envelopes which I love!
I love my brayer!!! I use it to make sure layers are down. And the coluzzle- except for the string bow template. Hated that one.
I have to admit my biggest mistake- the color cut markers. They have a blade in the marker, so they cut and add a border at the same time. I just hate them. And they were expensive!! sigh.

What a good use for your brayer! Thanks for the idea.
It is especially good for when I make diecuts with cs I run thru the xyron. They tend to pop unless you nail them down good! And also cuz I use a gluestick to do my card layers, lol.
My nieces love using the brayer like this!
crimper
brayer
ShapeBoss
Fiskars shapecutter and templates
fibers
UTEE
snaps and eyelets
a ton of paper
tags, pockets and pieces, and book kits from SU (though I do use these as templates on occasion, but they're never in the color I want....)
The first four were purchased years ago, and their unused presence is a constant reminder to think really, really hard before adding new tools to my already crowded space, LOL! They made me pass on the coluzzle, BG notch tool, MM tag maker, fastenator, etc. I think that's why I hold onto them!
Fastenator (what on earth was I thinking?)
MM tag maker (seemed like a good idea at the time)
Light Box (hardly use it now that I have the cuttlebug)
Crimper (probably will use it some time just haven't lately)
Critcut
Fiskers circle cutter
MM tag maker
brayer (still love it just haven't used it in a while)
decorative edge scissors
fiskers rotary cutter
fiskers 2" cutter
whatever that thing is called that sets eyelets and corners that I got from Bonnies Best, it's big, heavy and purple. (enlighten me on the name please?)
Score it
fiskers wavy and straight crimper.
hmmm..... more probably
I use my brayer to help ink up my bkg stamps. I sometimes roll it directly in the ink and then roll it over the stamp most mostly I put the stamp upside down, ink it up with the pad, put the paper down, put a scrap piece of paper on top of that and then roll the brayer on the top to apply even pressure. I don't stamp bkgds. without it anymore.
Ladylinks asked "whatever that thing is called that sets eyelets and corners that I got from Bonnies Best, it's big, heavy and purple. (enlighten me on the name please?)"
The tool I think you are talking about is called The HomePro. It sets eyelets, metallic corners and nailheads, etc. I agree, it weighs a tone and it is expensive. I rarely use it but when I do I am glad I have it. the Crop-A-Dile has taken it's place for the smaller stuff.
Well I can t quite belive how many of us don t use the same things.I will add mine to the list
Brayer
Fastenator(still brand new in box)
Crimper (used this like a women possesd 5 years ago when I first bought it )
Lots of cutesy embellishments that I ve bought thinking They might come in handy for something...they didn t ;)
Border punches...yeukkk
and tha scary thing is I could go on:mad:

i love love love and use my brayer!
i do however have a BUTT LOAD of PP that doesn't match anything and i don't think i will ever use it all. generally now... i only buy PP if i have a specific project for it.
Coluzzle would have to be my most underused tool. There are always much easier and quicker ways to cut circles and rectangles; I have a few other Coluzzle templates (like tags) that I've used but don't like having to deal with the little bits of paper that you have to cut off.
Someone said they were on their second Stamp-A-Ma-Jig that they haven't used--I LOVE mine! In fact, I was very frustrated with my stamping until I figured out how to use it. Yes, I know hand-stamped articles are supposed to look hand-stamped but I felt like I was wasting a whole lot of very expensive cardstock. I may have even given up altogether if it weren't for SAMJ.
Never thought I would use a brayer so I haven't bought one, but after reading some of the ideas here I might have to get one.
This thread made me go look and here's my list. I just organized my stamp room so everything was easy to find.
Earth SU Powder Stacks - I don't know:confused:
EK Success Glass Mat & Curvy Cutter - didn't do what I wanted it to do
H20 Twinkees(?)
Hodge Podge Hardware - thought adding hardware to my cards would be wonderful. Only problem is, I never remember to use it!
Greeting Glue - Oh yeah like I was going to make envelopes to match cards!
Design Label Punch Box - and now I want to buy the new punch box coming out!
Mounting tape for shaker cards - I mean a BIG office supply roll! Just had to have it.
SU buttons in every color
Misc cutsie brads - thought were cool, thought they'd come in handy, but haven't used them yet!
MM Tag Maker - it was a good idea at the time I bought it!
Prisma Flowers coming out of the walls! Never use them!
Karen Foster Alpha Charms - what was I thinking?
I have and use quite often my coluzzle, stamp-a-ma-jig, and brayer.
I sold alot of my unused stuff at 2 yard sales at my lss. I do not use my crimper a lot,but boy my husband and 3 sons love that thing! I do like the look of it too. I only have the straight line one. I threw-yes in the trash-my coluzze away, what a waste that was! I am determined to use what I buy! I too have an underused fastenator, maybe if we all agree to make a card and post it we will get inspired?!

There was discussion on a Ranger group. They said it is very important that you not use the blender solution as a spray. It could be harmful.
Circle scissors
small silk flowers
DP that I bought just cause it caught my eye
all shapes and colors of eyelets and brads
tags of all shapes and sizes
I could go on....I have so much crap that I don't use...but I can't part with it!
stamp positioner (40.00)
light box
punches (the old ones w/o lever)
coluzze
brayer
decorative edge scissors (gave some away to some Germans visiting me, should have given all of them away)
embossing powders
extra paper trimmers
perfect layers (I keep slicing the ruler)
a lot of old stamps
Ugh I quit at this, as I don't want to think about it anymore:mrgreen:
So call me odd but I love my crimper...don't use it a ton but I do like it when I use it...
My do not use list...
MM Tag Maker
CM Square Punch
All Purpose Inks...(and like an obsessive compulsive person I bought them all)
Rarely if close to never:
Notch Tool
I find that I just have to many options as what to use and I forget about half the stuff I have. If I had fewer things I would use what I have more often...and I would have more money!!

I like the bleach idea. I have a bleach pen that I never use. Bought it thinking it would be cool for writing - that was not a good idea. But I still like the look of bleached things. I'm going to try this!

I forgot I had a stampamajig! I've never even tried to use it. Wonder where I put it? LOL
I love my Perfect Layers rulers -- one of my tools that I refuse to be without. I always recommend it to newbies. It is perfect for matting, so quick. I also use it to space things - like if I what 2 embellishments or pictures a certain space away from the edge.

crimper (my kids love it, however!)
brayer
any punch that's not SU, they're too hard to use
many of my MM eyelets, the only colors I seem to grab anymore are the metallic ones
a lot of cheap ribbon and paper from Michael's
