Default Walmart Deals

I usually don't go to Walmart because it's always such a mad house and so crowded. As I was driving by and decided to stop because I didn't have anything else to do.

I found mini composition books marked from .77 to .15. I got 33 for $4.95. Then I thought they might have the regular comp. books for a good price. They were .58 so I picked up a couple.

I went down another aisle and found these other comp. books that had a vinly cover and some vintage sport looking number on them. The cover doesn't really matter since they'll be covered. They were origianly $1.77 but they were marked down to .25. I now have 18 of those

Oh and my other decent find was a pack of 10 jr. legal pads for $2.97.

So I left with 33 mini comp books, 18 standard comp books, 2 packs of jr. legal pads, some spiral bound index cards and some glue sticks for a whopping $19.38.

I'm am now glad that I decided to stop.

Makes me wish we had a WalMart in the City... lol Closest one is across the Bay somewhere. Might have to have the "kid" go shopping for me and send them up! Worth the postage with deals like that!

Roxiedog - you might want to take your location out of your profile - that way when other in Salinas go to Walmart, they won't know it was you that bought out the supply of comp books!

I envy you all that have good Walmarts. Ours are HORRIBLE. I hate them! It's so bad that I refuse to go in there, even when shopping with a friend. (I stay in the car while she braves the place!)

I always say, IF our Walmart had that coveted item, there would be three left: One would be broken in half, one would be missing something important, and one would have an enormous stain on it.

Great bargains, though! I guess it is definitely time to start haunting the school supplies aisles!!!

Kar - it's a half hour away to where we buy groceries......if we want to go to the "other" town, it's an hour! There is a small store here in town but it's for milk and bread, not "groceries"...it's 20 minutes to work from here! We think nothing of driving the hour and a bit south to go out for dinner!!

;)

camsmom - Seaside is a beautiful area. My husband works for Seaside PD so I hear all the bad about the city. Sometimes I forget how nice of an area it is.

Off original topic... I am a transplant from San Jose. I miss California, and I don't - cost of living. I have a sister in Salinas, parents in San Jose, sister in Sacto, cousins in SF...

Usually when someone talks about being from or living in California, it is Southern California they are talking about. So nice to see some posts from Northern! I was just in SJ in March, and I was so nervous driving! LOL I learned how to drive in a big city! Now, I'm a wimp! Of course it doesn't help that if you aren't going 80mph on the freeway, you get blown off the road!

OK, back on topic! Congrats on the great buys! This time of year, school supplies (notebooks, etc.) are at a great price!

I'm strange I guess. I can handle Walmart nearly any time of the day. My favorite time though is in the middle of the night when the kids are up late on the weekends or during the summer.

I'm thinking it's time for a trip to see what's on sale. Our Walmart is only about a mile and a half from us.

*can't wait to see what she can find*

Default Hee hee...guess it's a nation-wide sale...

I was just in there the other day and stumbled upon the BIG comp notebooks for .58 and have been playing with a demo make & take for one...The hostess is supplying the comp notebooks at that price and I'll supply the cardstock and ribbon.

I KNOW what I'm making for Christmas presents! I've also heard that Wallyworld has great prices on RSVP pens. When I go there next (hopefully tomorrow, if we're feeling better) I will look again for them, since I couldn't find them earlier in the week.

Enjoy your GREAT bargains!

Default Walmart Deals

I was at our walmart and the composition books ran up at 58 cents and were on a roll back to 50 cents, which means they are not suppose to be a higher price than that ever again. I had them correct the price. I use to work for them and I know they will cheat you if they can....always check the sales when they ring them up and check your recipts. If something rings up the wrong price and you tell them and they check it they are suppose to give you $3.00 off on the purchase of you item or if it's an item under $3.00 its suppose to be free. They will fight you on it, that's what we were told to do, but it's been their policy since 1990!

Default sale

i was just in the school isle today at walmart and I was almost trampled. You need a body guard to get there.

I have a friend who used to be a logger in the Queen Charlotte's.

I used to live in Bellingham, Wa.

I got ya all beat! I have to drive 1.5 hours to the nearest big city grocery and walmart.

I prefer target or shopko. Target is getting a nice little scrap/card supplie isle going.

I'm headed to Wal-Mart
I have to go get more of those Mini Scrapbooks for $1.
These are great for putting into your purse, if you carry a small purse like I do, as a brag book!!
And only a BUCK!!!

Nope, I still have you beat! I'm a flight away or ferry away from Walmart! I win...LOL

How long ago did you know someone from here? Or should I say, how long ago was that person up here? Mayhap I know him/her/them!
