I started a stamp index 2 years ago after my stamp collection grew and grew thanks to SCS! Well, I haven't been very good at updating it. I've spent hours and hours over the last 3 days updating it before my new order gets here next week. What I found is this: even though I have traded many stamp sets as my needs and styles change, I have still have a ton of stamps that I can't part with even though they haven't seen ink in like forevah!
My challenge for you is to use stamps(main images, backgrounds, and sentiments)that haven't been used in a long time. "A long time" will mean something different to each person depending on how long you've been stamping and how frequently you stamp. So you be the judge of that. I was going to limit colors and embellishments, but it's hard enough to get inspiration for a set we've lost interest in... so embellish to your heart's content! Make your neglected stamps little nuggets of gold as you Wow us with your creations!

If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!

After spending hours updating my stamp index this week, I'm on a mission to use stamps that haven't seen ink in awhile. I started this morning with the WT118 challenge and plan on playing with my neglected stamps until my new order arrives late next week. TFL!
Oh, my! Are my stamps ever going to be excited! I know I have way too many that I just can't seem to part with, but they just collect dust. The cool thing is that most of us are probably better stampers than when we purchased those older stamps and we should be able to make them sing now! Heehee! Thanks, Jen, for a great challenge. I'm off to select a stamp or two.
Great idea Jen. What do I have... Oh can I use memory from the heart even if I used it Tuesday for the cc. I haven't used it prior to that forever? Oh PALEASE????

LOL! OK... but pinky swear to find a BG or sentiment that hasn't been used in awhile, too. :p

Oh Jen! You must of been reading my mind. I have been doing just the same as you. I have been trying to organize and catalog my now many retired stamp sets. I have so many friends that have not seen ink in quite some time. This will be a fun challenge. I guess I will have to sleep on it and have vision of rubber dancing through my head. See you in the morning. Thank you again for a very creative and fun challenge.
well, i haven't stamped in over a week, so almost everything will be new to me, but i won't probably be able to do this challenge til sunday night ~ aaahhhhh, freedom!!! thanks, jen!
For this challenge, I just had to pull out my old friend, Stella who I just had to have when she came back from retirement at SU's 15 anniversary. I haven't used her but once probably, but thought she would be the perfect stamp for the huge SU retiring dilema we all seem to be facing. What do we do with all of this stuff? Leave it to the pro, Stella, she'll sell them to friends and customers, give them to family members, sell them on ebay or SCS, and then take whatever is still around to school for the kids to use. Check her out at: Stella's dilema

Melody,
I laughed at your comment thinking about some of my first cards...ugh! I hope no one kept them that I sent them to! LOL Some of my friends have actually said they've seen a lot of growth, I think they said in my card making abilities.....(Makes me wonder what they REALLY thought when they got one of my first creations.) know what I mean? LOL

Jen, thanks for the challenge...........can't wait to dig deep into the pile to see what I can find. Maybe it'll be something I've forgotten I had.

Thanks, Jen for the challenge. For a newbie like me, I have several sets that haven't seen ink at all!!! But I promise to adhere to your challenge and select something that hasn't inspired me recently. BTW I adore your TWINKLE STAR!!!
Off to bed, so I can play tomorrow!

Hi, everyone! Wow! Great Challenge, Jen! I haven't EVER used this set...A customer ordered it, didn't ever pay, and I got stuff with it last JULY! So, I cut it out and used it! YEAH!
I have quite a few that haven't seen ink in a while, but I just can't bear to part with them. I am such a hoarder. This is a great challenge and I already have some ideas going through my head. I'll sleep on it though. Too tired to be creative tonight. Great challenge Jen, thanks.
Well, my nuggets are brown--Wild West is a favorite I don't think I'll ever let go of. However, I usually use the large images and neglect the small ones altogether--so here's to cowboy paraphenalia! StewArt Cowboy Flourish by ruby-heartedmom at Splitcoaststampers
This all started with DD's watercolor scrap--the BG that looks like cowhide.

One would think so....but I overstepped my abilities I did better (last year) using more traditional colors!
This is a good challenge to use forgotten stamps. My daughter gave me this set a couple of years ago, don't think I have ever used one stamp in the set. Here's my forgotten set: LSC121 Something Nice by snowmanqueen at Splitcoaststampers
