Has anyone tried this yet? I got the natural linen 3-ring album and as soon as I unwrapped it, it spoke to me. It said, "Help me,help me, please. I am a beautiful pink leather, with leapord spots album trapped inside a beige linen. Make me beautiful please please please!!!!!" So in answer, the first thing that popped into my head was to emboss her. Make her sparkle in a sophisticated way, even though I know deep down she wants to be gaudy. Before I ruin her, has anyone tried this? Or done anything to the new not so ivory linen albums?

I am also interested if anyone has tried to decorate linen. I like the 3 ring but they are very boring. I am writing this to bump it up so hopefully someone whos done this will see this post.
I may be wrong, but when I asked this question, someone in my group said that Shelli mentioned (at Convention, I think) that these are NOT stampable. Maybe something to do with sizing in the linen or something like that.
Thank you for the response. I wanted to make sure before I made a big boo boo on a 12x12 album. But there has got to be something I can do to this baby to jazz her up. Come on you creative ladies give my feeble and tired mind some ideas!!!!

Amy you could always build a frame and decorate the frame and then attach it to the front or you could glue fancy fibers to the front or some glitter or something!
There are lots of "decoratable" scrapbooks out on the market -- they always seem to be featured in Creating Keepsakes. What about making a cover tag out of one of those metal frames (they're so popular now, but I can't think what they're called -- they look like bookplates from the library...) or a sculpey creation?
I embossed with detailed black on my 6 x 6 natural linen and it looks great. I did my name stamp on the back to test and it came out looking like I stamped in ink. I would stamp with a "sketchy" image - I don't think bold would do well because of the texture of the album.

How would you emboss on the linen. I don't want to mess this up because the ladies from a baby shower have purchased it and I'm trying to show off my SU business.
I've got a linen 3 ring also, but I haven't used for the same reason, it just seems blah. I've thought about stamping with StazOn ink, does anyone think that would hurt it?
I'm going to try it but I'm going to try a small section on the inside of the album so that it's not visible to anyone if I leave it on my coffee table to everyone to view. I'll let you all know if it works. I'm going to emboss and try the Staz-On to see which looks better.
Please let us know how it turns out and which one looks best. I have a Navy Linen 6x6 and want to dress it up too. I hope SU! will come out with some great new albums!
Yesterday at Hobby Lobby I bought four 6x6 albums (Red, Blue, 2 Black) for $5.00 each on a 50% off sale. They are all solid too but have a plastic sheet covering them. I think the plastic will help keep them from getting dusty. I bought a BUNCH of stuff from Hobby Lobby yesterday. The sales girl told me everything was on sale in the scrapbooking section. I got over $240 of stuff for $120! Woo Hoo! I decided to go back and buy more, but when I got back to the register the second time there was a different cashier there and the manager was there too and they said only certain things were on sale. Overall, I spent $150 but got $300 worth of stuff! It was such a "high"!
