Hey ladies!!! Patty and I are SO excited about coordinating the next VSN! Hopefully, everyone is just as anxious to hear some details as we are to share them, so here the most important thing - the dates and theme!
September 7th and 8th Theme: Jumping Into Fall!!!
Think cool days, piles of leaves to jump in, hay rides, back to school....such a great time of year!
A few important things we'd like to share with you:
We'd LOVE to hear your ideas for challenges (if you want to be a hostess!)! Please pm both of us (stagccva - Taylor and pattyb - Patty) so that we will both have the same info. Please limit your submission to 3 challenge ideas. For now, we aren't setting an end date on when we will no longer accepting submissions - we know how busy summer is for everyone. But we will start making huge announcements about a week before we plan to stop accepting them.
Woooo hoooooo..... I marked my calendar!! BUT, I hope you girls won't take offense when I don't 'wish' for it to be here quickly, because that means my summer break will be over!! HOWEVER, VSN will surely help with the "Back to School Blues"!!! ;)

I don't want summer to end too quickly either! But truth be told, autumn is my favorite time of year. So VSN in Sept is just one more thing to look forward to!!!!
I'm so excited to know when the next VSN will be - I so loved the May one (my first!) My b'day is the 5th (lots of people in Sept it seems!) I've got the dates on my calender - can't wait!

Just subscribing so that I don't miss anything. I just love VSN...such great ideas and techniques for beginners like myself to learn. Speed on to September, summer will go so fast now that I have a few swaps to do, and then I will definitely be ready for VSN. Can't wait.

Does VSN always take the summer off? Just wondering because I wasn't checking it out last summer.
No every set of VSN coordinators chooses when VSN will be and checks in with the gallery moderators to see when they have time to allow instant upload access, etc, etc. So between my schedule, Taylors schedule, the mods schedules, and the VSBN schedule (which is June/July if you're a scrapper) we just decided to hold off until summer vacations, school shopping, College bound folks, etc were all done and all settled in.
Usually VSN and VSBN alternate months and times.
Sorry if this seems like a long time away to folks, we just felt that it might be a little better for the majority of the players, HOWEVER just to keep your excitment flowing we will be having some "Pre-VSN" challenges so be on the look out for them;)

Thank you for explaining that for me. I don't have a problem with the date, but was only curious about how it all works. (inquiring minds want to know ) Thanks for taking the time to explain it so thoroughly.

That's the first week back to school. I'll be waaaaaay too tired to think about trying to be a hostess, but I'll try and play in a challenge or 2..... That may be a long shot. Did I say that week is the first week back to school? :p Any other teachers out there feeling my pain?

Wow you don't go back to school until September? My kids go back August 28th:o And my oldest ships off to college on September 4th!

In order to help travel and tourism during the Labor Day weekend, a law was passed a couple of years ago in Michigan stating that schools cannot begin their school year until after Labor Day.

I just noticed you're in Michigan. The only districts who don't have to comply are those that haven't had teacher contract renewals. Your district will be on board with the new law probably by next year... which is really late. It's been in effect for 2 years I think.
