I'm planning to do a Craft Fair early October and want to make a bunch of Color Me Kids Cards with the crayons included. Viking carries these crayola crayons in a classpack of 800 and by no means do I need that many. Below is the link:
I'm looking at the 8 color assorted classpack for 59.99. What I'm thinking is....selling 80 crayons, 10 of each of the 8 colors, which will make 20 kids packs of 4 crayons each for $6 + $2-3 shipping.
Broken down that's:
80 crayons for $6 plus $2-3 shipping (not sure exact amount on shipping).
If you would be interested in going in with me on this reply or send me an e-mail: [email protected].
I will accept a paypal payment and can get these in the mail to you Monday or Tuesday at the latest (once they arrive).
You might also consider buying boxes of crayons right now since they are so cheap and repackage them in a small cello bag or a mini jewelry ziploc ! I think your cost would be even cheaper....
You can usually find cheap crayolas at the major retailers now. IE Wal-Mart, Target, K-mart, Staples, etc. I bought a bunch of 24 for $.19 and got my limit. That way, even if you don't use a few of the colors, you haven't even paid a penny a piece!!
I ordered some crayons from Oriental Trading the other day, they had 4 dozen boxes of 6 for $5.95(about 13 cents a box). I am going to use some for Church bags that we are putting in the back with things for little kids to do to keep them quiet during church services. I thought it wasn't to bad of price and had to order over $50 worth of stuff anyway for Sunday School crafts from there. If wondering what they are like it is #MC-39/612
They're cards stamped with line art stamps. Ones that we would normally color in with colored pencils or watercolor, pastel etc. You leave them uncolored and then give them as a gift with crayons for young artists to color and send.
I've been making these as birthday gifts for a long time. I stamp a bunch of thank you cards and give a box of Crayons (btw, Staples has them still at $0.19 a box of 24) as part of the gift. I think more parents love it than the kids, which is why it isn't THE gift, it's an add-on!
That sounds very neat!!!!!! My dd is going to her first birthday party this weekend, perfect timing, I've got the card already made, hadnt got to coloring it in myself!
Thanks for sharing. I love the ideas on thsi board!
I checked the www.crayola.com website and you can get 24 boxes of 4 classic crayola colors in each in box for $6.99 plus shipping.
Just thought you might be interested in that...it will save you time as far as having to repackage them all, and you can buy in smaller quantities!
Also, at Halloween time (around now) they have bags of prepackaged crayola crayons for distributing to trick or treaters. I don't know if they have Halloween decorations on the packages or not, I don't remember from last year.
