Continuing with the retirement theme..... This was a challenge done last year, but it was suggested as a rerun. So here it is:
This week we are making retirement cards. There are not many stamps directly related to this theme, so creativity is required.
Not know of anyone retiring from a job? Get creative with this theme. Make a retirement party invitation for the SU stamps sets that are leaving the catty. Make a card for an elementary student who is going to middle school and has to hang up his/her safety patrol belt (remember those things?) How about a card to help hubby retire those old ratty sweatshirts? Have fun with this challenge! Think about things that have to come to an END.
Please put LSC118 in the keyword box when uploading!
Limit: Retirement Theme Stamps: Any (Cyber bonus points for using retired or soon to be retired sets) Cardstock and ink: any Embellishments: any Tools: any
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!
Need help linking a card? Follow these instructions!
1. Open 2 windows. One window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Got to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
Your done!
I have one ifea. Now to see if I can get one made after I get some other things done that I have to get done tonight. Great challenge.

Well, as soon as the double-overtime is over, I'll start making my "GO CAVS!" card to celebrate the Pistons retirement from the Eastern Conference finals on Saturday night! In fact, I'll make 2 of them... one to send to Juliana and one to send to Shelly! ;)

LOL! My DH would love it! We're in southeast Michigan, but DH is a Cavs fan... He grew up in a suburb of Cleveland.

OK, Jen. You asked for it. Get creative with this theme. I kind of ran out of time, and spent way too much on the card linked here not to figure out how I could use it!
This is the card DH and I made jointly for our anniversary. So it symbolizes the end of our first 50 years together - but, before any one starts to worry, just the beginning of quite a few more to come. Our 50th anniversary card by etsdas at Splitcoaststampers
CongratulationsIs may card for today's challenge.
Retirement in my book deserves a big congratulations (even Stampin' Up! for some of the sets that are finally retiring)
