I've only seen this once - does anyone have the Disappearing Image (Magic Image) card? It does NOT use window sheets. When the card is closed it shows an image through a window, then when you open it, another image APPEARS in the same window space inside. It's double layered. SU did one a few years ago...but I can't find the directions anymore. It uses 12x12 card stock I think. Would love the directions!!
Thanks, but this particular design had the All Wrapped Up "bag" in the window space when the card was closed and then when you opened the card the fish appeared inside the card...magically. The directions must be somewhere out there...anyone else know what I mean? help?
Oops--didn't read your last post before replying. There are 2 examples of magic cards with All Wrapped Up. Just pull up the magic card gallery (link at the end of the turtorial), then search for "All Wrapped Up."

But I still don't "get" it and can't find a sample of the inside or "appearing" part of the card.
Apparently, this is NOT the same thing as the Magic Card. To quote another post: "The disappearing/appearing image technique is not the same as the Magic Card technique. Magic card is shows an image in black & white and when pulled up the image turns to color. The appearing image techniqie is when there is no image or partial image & when you open up the card the image appears."
Does anyone have additional photos or information about this card?
These instructions and template appear to be in the demo site. Are there any instructions for the rest of us? This is really making me curious!
Thanks, Julie, this I can at least play with! I have a copy of my manager's book page from a few years ago, I just didn't have complete instructions -- or if I did write them all down, I'm convinced I made a mistake. I'll play around and see if I can get the template scanned with the directions written in Kim Wilson's sample to see if this works!! thank you so much - I'll keep you posted! Cindy
I am not a demo person but a paper srafter and the card I think you are thinking about was popular a few years back. There are two ways you can do it...one is to have it open like a normal card and the other way is to have it as a pull tab card and the actual window part kinda slides into a different picture. So as you open the card the picture like slides under the parts of the other picture to birng you the new image. Does that sound right? You have to cut the pieces just right or your card does not slide well and gets caught up. I like to do the smaller version but there is a pull tab card in a book out that has that one in it.

Thats a cool card to but not the same as the one I have. I have not seen the one I am talking about on the web anywhere. Not a real easy one to put together. Ok I found one that opens like a pull card and I know there are directions for this out there I have seen them....this is on a web site for advertising to give you an idea of what the card I was talking about...is the card you are looking for but it opens like a card instead? click on the aminated one that is green the second one. ok I have to post more posts it tells me before I can post a url I am new to this lol

You are all amazing! Thank you for trying to solve my dilemma. Linda, I have not seen this before - very interesting card design there! Dar, I'm still new, too, but I'm curious about your link. I haven't put the pieces together yet from Melissia, but these are what I'm seeking. Melissa41 -sorry I didn't repost sooner - thank you for that variation.
The one I want is one that opens like a regular card and when closed has one image and then a second one slides in when open - I saw a heart when closed and then Love You when opened using the retiring valentine's set (forget the name). But, as I get to play, in a few minutes, I'll repost and hopefully do my first gallery submission! Thank you all, I'll let you know asap (I'm pregnant and due any day!) You rock!
I still try to put a URL in my post and this thing keeps trying to tell me I have to do 3 posts or more and I have done more than 3 posts so I dont know why it wont let me. I guess I will try to make the card an see if I can put it in the gallery. I never have done that either so it will be a first and I will try to do it over the weekend when I get home. Dar
