I can't believe how many stamping related items I have picked up from Home Depot to use for stamping.
I have compiled a list of things off of the top of my head I have bought or picked up from Home Depot to stamp on:
-Tumbled tiles for coasters
-mini tumbled tiles for magnets or recipe holders
-empty paint cans(haven't tried this yet!)
-Hardwood or chipboard for the exploding albums
-paint chips for stamping for cards, etc.
-laminate chips(I got a swap from convention - it was stamped on embellished and made into a key ring).
What other things have you used from Home Depot(or similiar type of store) for stamping?

Camsmon has suggested using dry wall mesh from Home Depot. Are you suggesting using that instead of the Magic Mesh? I'd love to try the Magic Mesh, but it is really expensive. How do you adhere the dry wall mesh to the cardstock?
the drywall mesh also has adhesive on the back...just like magic mesh...and you can color it (I've seen it in white and bright yellow) with staz-on or with sharpie pen...I put it on waxed paper and color it to keep the 'sticky' on the back. It has the same weave as magic mesh too except that it is about 1/8" shorter in width...yes, I have compared.
I know some will say buy the magic mesh...but I say save your money and buy drywall...then you'll have more $$ for stamps/ink/paper/etc.
You can also colour it using your stamp pads. I just stick it to a plastic bag. rub a stamp pad over it and then peel it off. Still has enough adhesive to stick to paper.
You can also pour a little embossing powder on it and heat emboss it.
Don't need to use embossing ink as the powder also sticks to the adhesive. Looks really cool using gold.
Drywall mesh is also safe to use in scrapbooks :?
A huge sponge in the painting dept, cut it up into little sponges for , well, sponging.
Drywall tape.
circle felt for the bottom of coasters
wire (silver and copper to string and hold beads, twist into fun shapes (like making hangers for the simply sweet card or making crowns for princess cards).
foam paint brushes for all kinds of things.
paint cans....a must!
foam rollers which work good for the SU stripe maker - kind of like a brayer, but foam.
This is a funny thread. My dh hates that I love going to the hardware store or Home Depot for that fact. We used to go there solely for his needs and house stuff, but over the last couple of years I've made sure to tag along and have my own list.
Here's what I usually buy:
washers of all sizes;I emboss them
drywall tape; I emboss this also
different types of hooks; this looks great with ribbon
paint cans; super fun to put gifts in, just decorate the outside.
tiles; I mainly use them for coaster or trivets
foam brushes and paint brushes
very thin cork sheets; I use this on my scrapbook pages
wire; pull back the plastic casing and you have super thin wire, works great if you don't want alot of thickness.
sandpaper and sandblock; for distressing paper, gives an aged look
grommets; kinda like a super huge eyelet, great for 2x12 pages
rolls of screen; you can emboss this also, just don't buy the super dark one, that's hard to change the color
Ummm, I think that's about all. Now, every once in a while, I will go into my dh's workshop and steal a few of his goodies. It's so fun to use such odd things for creating.
