one of the best is white, black and tempting turquoise!! I just made a card with it tonight and will post tomorrow morning :-) However, when I'm stuck I go to this spot....
Anything that involves Certainly Celery!! . . .
Seriously though, I have the same problem - I'm in a Celery rut!
You could try looking at some of the color combo challenges. That's what I do when I need to break out of my box.
OH! And there's also this link which is like an online color wheel!
I actually just made some cookie monster birthday cards for ds using black, white, and close to cocoa and it looks great! Pretty much everything goes with B&W!
I haven't made a card with this combo yet but I will soon: so saffron with black. I saw a VWbug driving around in those colors and it was so striking, I thought I better remember that combo!
I went to the scraptitude website suggested by wiggydl for colors and showed my DH. He looked at it and said "couldn't you put in the colors of the shirt you bought yesterday and have it search what other colors would go with it and take the list with you to buy pants and skirts?"
I like bright and cheery. I draw a lot of inspiration from clothes and summer purses. I'll see a blouse or skirt and think, wow, that looks like good designer scrapbook paper...then I take note of the colors and try to match them. I've come up with some awesome cards that way. My friends just laugh at me when we shop...always looking for inspiration, never know where you might find it!
I was stuck also last month for my stamp camp. I feel like I do the same color combos over and over - so I picked up the old SU catalog & current one and strictly looked at color combos. I found these that went over really well with my group:
Ruby red, barely banana, bordering blue (they loved this one!)
Rose red, bashful blue, marigold morning
Certainly celery, brilliant blue, real red
Cameo Coral, apricot appeal, certainly celery
Sahara sand, cranberry crisp, buckaroo blue
