Default New Ideas for Cocoa Gift Jar - BADLY!!

I was planning on CASEing a cocoa gift jar I'd seen in one of the SU magazines for a stamp camp. It used the express yourself stamp set, polyshrink and mulberry paper. Only problem is the jars I ordered came today and they too big. The jars are actually great, but the polyshrink coffe mug is so small it looks silly.

So, now I have 36 jars, a stamp camp on Saturday and need an idea. We've stamped and embossed on glass the last two camps, so I was trying to come up with something different.

Any techniques come to mind that wouldn't be too hard or time consuming?

TIA!
Dana

Can the jars hold a small votive candle? Maybe you can do a vellum shade to fit over the top of the jar.

The jars are pretty big, probably 6 1/2 inches tall and about 3 1/2 inches wide, they also came with a lid. I really want to do some with cocoa, I thought it would be a good gift idea. I'm just trying to come up with something other then polyshrink or plain paper to stamp the image on.

Are these jars like canning jars? Is it possible to purchase smaller jars? I know our local grocery stores and drug stores carry canning jars. Your ideas sounds great, sorry you are having this problem.

How about crimping a collar to go around the jar.
Decorate that with a piece that is layered and stamped "COCOA" and put eyelets in the four corners. Hang your shrinked embellishment from that with wire. Or maybe tie some rafitta around the jar lid and hang your embellishment from that?

Know what I mean?

thanks for the great ideas! Those cookies all sound wonderful - I don't know how I'd just pick one!

The jars are very similar in size to the big mason jars, but are frosted glass. I can't return them since I bought them on the internet and already paid $20 in shipping.

The premo clay works really well-I have used it for tags. If you put a hole in teh top and string ribbon through it can also be an ornament. The clay is very easy to use, and you can use Pearl Ex over it before it bakes to give it some extra shine.

If you do the cookie layered jars maybe you could do a cloth covering at the top (have you ever seen one of those?) You could stamp the cloth with craft ink to show them how to stamp on cloth. Then tie it with Raffia. Just an idea
