Disappointed with Little Lady?
Was anyone else out there slightly disappointed with PaperTrey's Little Lady release? Don't get me wrong, I think the ladybugs are adorable, but since the set is 1/2 the size of their other sets, it makes me less inclined to buy it. I was hoping for other garden critters--a dragonfly maybe?

I love it! I have so many large sets now, it's nice to get just the ladybugs and sentiments. I can't wait till mine arrives. Already got my UPS shipping number.

The only Paper Trey set I've purchased has been their debuting sentiment set, which I find very useful and compliments so many of my other stamps so nicely.
My guess is that they're trying to offer stampers a variety of sizes of sets, at different price points? Considering that this set's focus is on a very specific theme (ladybugs, as opposed to garden, which is broader, of course), if I happened to be interested in this style of ladybug stamps, I think it's a good size/has enough images, at a very good price point.
I'm pretty sure they have a LOT more up their sleeves, ;) so if this one doesn't appeal to you enough to purchase, there's eventually bound to be one that will! *chuckle* I just know if I'm patient, one that really blows my mind is gonna come along and it will be mine, all miiiiiiiiiiiine!!!!!!

well, it is cheaper than their other sets too.
And as far as liking it......is EVERY stamp set other companies make one that you like? I mean, if I LOVED ladybugs then this would be perfect, because it would be cheaper without all those 'extra' stamps that I'd never use. Ya know? She is catering to a large audience and she won't be able to please everyone.
Personally, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the font, but don't really do ladybugs. But that's just me and I am not disappointed. Saved me $$, lol! I cannot love their stamps more. I have only purchased PaperTray and Green Thumb, but I love them to pieces and reach for them all the time. I am positive that there will be other sets I'll 'need' later!
I hope the next one is more up your alley!:-D

Any group of stampers is bound to have folks who absolutely love something while another group doesn't. I happen to like this set but I understand if you don't. There are a lot of stamps that other folks adore that leave me cold. Aren't we lucky to have such an enormous choice???

I think it is darling, but I like cute, too. I love the versatility with her sets and all the separate pieces. Makes it easy to use different colors. I am a new fan.

I too was a little disappointed not only because it was so specific but there wasn't any variation in the lady bugs. No change in the style or pattern. But as others have said, to each his own.

I wasn't disappointed with the actual stamp set, but the shipping change. I ordered the last 2 month's stamp sets, and was $1 shy for free shipping. I have been ordering every other month for this reason, and that really bummed me out. I should have maybe waited one more month.

Not me! It was my first must have. I got that and the original word one.
AND clear boxes
AND cardstock
AND envelopes...
I'm a nut I know.
I'm happy though, The style of them is consistant and nice, this time it was something I liked, next time I hope it's something you like. (And I like it too! heehee)

I was a little 'on the fence' on this set --- but then I noticed that it was only $15 vs. $24 ---- so that was my deciding factor. I ordered that, along with the faux ribbon set... and the cardstock... and the stamp cleaner. EEEK! I've got to control myself! I did think it was really cute how they used the stamp to make an apple and tulips. I just have to get my creative juices running.

I love ladybugs and wish I had the funds to get this set. Definitely on my wish list, and I do appreciate that some sets (like this one) are a little less expensive than others. So many choices out there, and it seems like new sets released all the time...maybe the next release will have something that speaks to you.

I only have the sentiment set so far. I like her sets, but don't LOVE them, KWIM? But I keep looking, because sooner or later, something will come along that I will adore. At least I'm saving some money! Her sentiment set is wonderful and I always have it sitting out on my work desk. Genius set!!
Oh, I wonder if I got an answer to a thread about that boot in the greenthumb set. It has, what looks like, a handle?? on the top of the boot. What is this little doodad on this garden boot? Does anyone know?? (Curious!).

I really like how Nichole's sets can be used interchangeably...that her style is the same across the board. I, myself, own all but the word set (waiting for Little Lady, of course). They're a great quality, and great design. It did take me a while to feel the *need* for Butterfly Kisses, but now that I have it, my favorite thing to use it for is little notes to my girls...they love it! Like others have said, not every stamper is going to love every single stamp out there. That's why it's great that there are so many styles out there to choose from!

Ok, never mind my question about the boot from Greenthumb set. I found my thread and got my question answered by several people who LOVE this set!! It is cute.

I'm a cutesy kind of gal, so I couldn't pass this one by. I didn't get Green Thumb last month, and have thought about it so many times (LOVE that strawberry!!!), that I added that on to the order, and because I was so close to free shipping and she made that cardstock sound so darn good on her blog... you know where I'm going with this don't you?! That Nichole is one smart cookie!
So now I'll have all of them but the Faux Ribbon. I have way too much invested in actual ribbon to go faux at this stage in the game... What if I loved it and quit using actual ribbon?! Yikes!!!

Silly! You are not supposed to use the Faux Ribbon set for the faux ribbon, you are supposed to get it for the 20 sentiments! LOL That's what I did anyway. I have no desire (yet) to make my own ribbon. I have A TON of REAL ribbon to use. But I LOVE that the sentiments are sized to fit in Stampin Ups oval punches. That is AWESOME.

I own Green Thumb and Faux Ribbon, but I'm not quite as in love with this set and don't plan on buying it. I'm actually a little happy it's not a "must have" for me right now with all the money I'll be shelling out for new SU! in the next few weeks/months!

I think Little Lady is extremely well designed and well thought-out. Love the style of dots used on the carapace, and the interchangeable antennae are a really nice touch. I've been keeping my eye on this great company's products, and I think Little Lady will be one of the first sets I order from them.

It does seem to be a very "specific" set for ladybug admirers but I have loved the clever stampers using the shapes in this set to create apples, hearts, party dresses.... much more versatile than it seems, and a great illustration that taking a closer "look" at your stamps can lead to some surprises!

I love this set. I haven't ordered yet, but I will have it by the end of the month. I am a big solid stamp fan and I love lady bugs too. I love making easy cards. Shipping is also fast for me since I live in so close to Cincinnati.

I really liked the set, but decided it wasn't a set I needed. I have lots of ladybugs already- though hers are probably superior to the set I have.
I still want the butterflys, but will wait until there are other stamps I want too- so that I can combine shipping.

I'll be honest... it makes my day to see more and more great companies coming onto the scene (Bellas, PaperTrey, etc.).... it's great for our creative souls and also good competition for the big boys and girls! Seems that the more that come out that are well received, the more and more that continue to come out. It's SO COOL! Makes me want to!

I wasn't disappointed AT ALL. I love ladybugs and I love this set, but it's okay if you don't. I mean, I don't like everything in the SU catty. In fact, at least half of it isn't my style.
One thing I adore about the PaperTrey sets is they are all interchangeable. They look great together. The clean lines, the crisp font. LOVE IT! Little Lady will make set #5 for me!
