how about layered cookie mixes in a jar to go along with the cocoa? Here are some recipes:

Oatmeal Fruit Cookie Mix in a Jar

½ cup packed brown sugar
¼ cup white sugar
¾ cup wheat germ
1 cup quick cooking oats
½ cup dried cherries (or dried: cranberries or chopped dried apricots)
½ cup golden raisins
2/3 cup packed flaked coconut
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt

1. Mix the flour, baking soda and salt together.
2. Starting with the brown sugar layer the ingredients in jar
ending with the flour mixture.

Instructions to attach to Jar:

Oatmeal Fruit Cookies

1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
2. Empty the contents of the jar into 2 Qt Batter Bowl. Blend
the mixture until well combined.
3. Using the pastry blender work in ½ cup softened butter or
margarine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
4. Beat 1 egg with 1 tsp vanilla and ¼ cup milk. Still using
the pastry blender blend the egg mixture into the dough until well
combined.
5. Using small stainless steel scoop, drop mounds of dough 2"
apart onto your favorite stone. Bake at 350F for 10-14 minutes or
until the edges are lightly browned. Place cookies on the nonstick
cooling rack to finish cooling. Makes approximately 2 dozen cookies.



Gingerbread Cookie Mix in a Jar

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground allspice

Mix 2 cups of the flour with the baking soda and baking powder. Mix
the remaining 1 ½ cups flour with the spices. Layer the ingredients
starting with the flour/baking powder mixture then the brown sugar
and finally the flour and spice mixture.

Instructions to attach to Jar:

Gingerbread Cookies
1. Empty contents of jar into 2 Qt Batter Bowl. Blend together
well.
2. Add ½ cup softened butter or margarine, ¾ cup molasses and 1
slightly beaten egg. Mix until completely blended. Dough will be
very stiff so you may need to use your hands. Cover and refrigerate
for 1 hour.
3. Preheat oven to 350F.
4. Roll dough to ¼ inch thick on a lightly floured surface. Cut
into shapes with a cookie cutter. Place cookies on favorite Baking
Stone about 2 inches apart.
5. Bake at 350F for 10-12 minutes. Decorate as desired.

Pat's Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies in a Jar

1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
¾ tsp baking soda
½ cup white sugar
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
½ cup brown sugar

Combine the flour, baking soda, white sugar and the chocolate chips.
Place ½ of the mixture in jar and pack firmly. Place the brown sugar
on top, again packing firmly. Place the remaining flour mixture on
top. Cover with a lid.

Instructions to attach to Jar:

Pat's Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies in a Jar

Empty contents of jar into 2 Qt Batter Bowl. In separate bowl
combine ¾ cup of butter, 2 small eggs, and 1 tsp vanilla. Beat until
creamy. Add to dry mixture. Using small stainless steel scoop, drop
by scoopful onto your favorite Baking Stone and bake in a preheated
375F oven for 8-10 minutes.

Peanut Butter Cookies in a Jar

1 cup packed brown sugar
1 ½ cups packed confectioners" sugar
¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt

1. In a separate 2 qt Batter Bowl, mix together the flour,
baking powder and salt.
2. Layer ingredients in order given in jar. Clean the inside of
the jar with a dry paper towel after adding the confectioners' sugar
and after adding the cocoa powder.

Instructions to attach to Jar:

Peanut Butter Cookies

1. Empty jar of cookie mix into 2 Qt Batter Bowl. Use your
hands to thoroughly blend mix.
2. Add: ½ cup butter, softened at room temperature. Add ½ cup
creamy peanut butter, 1 egg, slightly beaten, and 1 tsp of vanilla.
3. Mix until completely blended. You will need to use your
hands to finish mixing.
4. Using Small Stainless Scoop place scoopful 2 inches apart on
your favorite stone. Press balls down with a fork.
5. Bake at 350F for 9-11 minutes until edges are browned. Cool
5 minutes on stone then transfer to a nonstick cooling rack to finish
cooling. Makes 3 dozen.

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookie Mix in a Jar

1 ¼ cups white sugar
½ cup chopped macadamia nuts
1 cup white chocolate baking chips
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder

1. Mix together flour, baking soda and baking powder. Set aside.
2. Layer ingredients in jar.

Attach these directions to the jar:

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies

1. Empty cookie mix into 2 Qt. Batter Bowl. Use your hands to
thoroughly blend mix.
2. Add: ½ cup butter, softened at room temperature. Add in 1
egg slightly beaten and 1 tsp vanilla.
3. Mix until completely blended. You will need to finish mixing
with your hands. It will take a while to mix into a smooth dough.
4. Using Small Stainless Scoop place scoopful 2 inches apart on
your favorite stone.
5. Bake at 375F for 12-14 minutes until tops are very lightly
browned. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to racks to finish
cooling. Makes 2 ½ dozen cookies.

Orange Slice Cookie Mix in a Jar

¾ cup white sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 ½ cups orange slice candies, quartered (10 oz pkg)

1. Mix together flour, baking powder and baking soda. Set aside.
2. Layer ingredients in jar. Add the orange candies last.

Attach these directions to jar:

1. Remove orange slice candy from jar. Set aside.
2. Empty remaining cookie mix into large mixing bowl. Use your
hands to thoroughly blend mix.
3. ADD: ½ cup butter, softened at room temperature. Add 1 egg
slightly beaten and 1 tsp vanilla.
4. Mix until completely blended. You may need to finish mixing
with your hands.
5. Mix in orange slice candy.
6. Using Large Stainless Scoop place scoopful 2 inches apart on
your favorite stone.
7. Bake at 375F for 12-14 minutes until edges are lightly
browned. Cool 5 minutes on stone. Remove cookies to nonstick
cooling rack to finish cooling. Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.

M & M Cookie Mix in a Jar

¾ cup packed brown sugar
¼ sup white sugar
1 ½ cups mini baking M & M's
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt

1. Combine the flour with baking soda and salt.
2. Layer the ingredients in the order given starting with the
brown sugar and ending with the flour mixture.

Attach a card with the following directions:

M & M Cookies

1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. Empty the contents of the jar into 2 Qt. Batter Bowl and mix
until all the ingredients are well combined.
3. Using your hands work in ¾ cup softened butter or margarine
until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
4. Beat 1 egg with 1 tsp vanilla. Work this into the flour
mixture until well combined. Dough will be a little crumbly.
5. Using Small Stainless Scoop place scoopful 2 inches apart on
your favorite stone. Slightly flatten the balls with the palm of
your hand. Bake at 350F for 10-14 minutes or until the edges are
lightly browned. Remove cookies to a rack to cool. Makes about 2
dozen cookies.

Chocolate Covered Raisin Cookie Mix in a Jar

¾ cup white sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
1 cup chocolate covered raisins
½ cup milk chocolate ships
1 ¾ cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda

1. Mix together the flour, baking powder and baking soda.
2. Layer ingredients in the order given in jar.

Attach the following instructions to the jar:

1. Empty cookie mix into 2 Qt Batter Bowl. Use your hands to
thoroughly blend mix.
2. Add ½ cup butter, softened at room temperature. Add 1 egg,
slightly beaten and 1 tsp vanilla.
3. Mix until completely blended. You will need to finish mixing
with your hands.
4. Using Small Stainless Scoop place scoopful 2 inches apart on
your favorite stone.
5. Bake at 375F 13-15 minutes until tops are very lightly
browned. Cool 5 minutes on stone. Remove cookies to nonstick
cooling racks to finish cooling.

Chunky Chocolate Cookie Mix in a Jar

¾ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup shopped pecans
1 cup jumbo chocolate chips
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt

1. Mix together the flour, baking soda and baking powder and
salt. Set aside.
2. Layer ingredients in order in jar.

Instructions to attach to jar:

1. Empty jar of cookie mix into 2 Qt. Batter Bowl. Use your
hands to thoroughly blend mix.
2. Add ¾ cup butter softened at room temp. Add 1 egg, slightly
beaten, and 1 tsp vanilla.
3. Mix until completely blended. The dough is sticky. You will
need to finish mixing with your hands.
4. Using Small Stainless Scoop place scoopful 2 inches apart on
your favorite stone.
5. Bake at 350F for 11 to 13 minutes. Cool5 minutes on baking
sheet. Remove to nonstick cooling racks to finish cooling. Makes 3
dozen cookies.

Oatmeal Chocolate Nut Cookies in a Jar

1 cup all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 ¼ cups rolled oats
1 (5.5 oz) chocolate bar
½ cup white sugar
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1. Mix flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Pour into jar,
pack.
2. Mix oatmeal in a blender. Using the Delux Cheese Grater
grate chocolate bar and mix into the oatmeal. Pack on top of flour
in jar.
3. Add white sugar and pack down. Add brown sugar and pack
down. Layer chopped nuts on top of brown sugar. Finish layering jar
with mini or regular chocolate chips until even with the top (no more
than ½ cup).

Instructions to attach to the jar:

Oatmeal Chocolate Nut Cookies


1. Preheat oven to 375F.
2. Spoon chocolate chips and nuts into a small bowl, set aside.
Spoon brown and white sugar into mixing bowl, add ½ cup butter
softened, cream well.
3. Add 1 egg and ½ tsp vanilla, mix well.
4. Pour oatmeal and flour mixture from jar into bowl, mix
thoroughly. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Using Small Stainless
Scoop place scoopful 2 inches apart on your favorite stone. Bake for
8 to 10 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.

Oatmeal Raisin Spice Cookie Mix in a Jar

¾ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
¾ cup raisins
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt

1. Mix together flour, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, baking
soda and salt in 2 Qt. Batter Bowl. Set aside.
2. Layer ingredients in order given in jar.

Instructions to attached to jar:

5. Bake at 350F for 11 to 13 minutes until edges are lightly
browned. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet. Remove cookies to nonstick
cooling racks to finish cooling. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
