Skunky Comes Home!
I can't believe it! Skunky is back with us here on earth. This picture is taken in TexasGrammy's yard, but I know it is Skunky. I would recognize that beautiful tail any where. And Skunky always loved, loved peanut butter. It has to be Skunky. Tell your DH to be patient with my little skunky! Oh and tell him to get closer next time he takes the picture! I want a close up of my little cuddly skunky pooh pie! Lana

What? I am just crushed. Here I was so over-joyed to hear Skunky was alive and here you go, Princess, just crushing my little world. I don't care what you think. I am going to continue to think that is my Skunky no matter what you think!
Man, would you look at that tail!? Isn't that beautiful! I can't wait to hear the updates Beverly. I am still snickering about the whole thing. You are such a good story teller!

Lana - No one is better qualified than you to recognize that charminglly striped tail. I believe it IS Skunky, returned to spread joy (and more) with stampers nationwide. I'll be watching for dear Skunky here in NJ.

Yes Lana - Enrique and I have just spent the last 30 minutes running some tests and diagnostics on the photos that Tex sent and it is indeed Skunky! Praise the Lord Skunky has come back to us! Let us rejoice and be glad. I know I'm glad
It is a little known fact the skunks have a very slow metabolism and can be run over a number of times and survive with little to no oxygen in their lungs for an undetermined period of time. Scientists agree that while this information is yet anecdotal, double blind studies have proven that members of the weasel family have the ability to live indeterminitely. In other words, Skunky will live in perpitude.

Ya'll are just horrible feeding poor Lana's twisted dilusions. I have to say, that I am with Princess on this one......Lana HAS to love me, and she can't kick me out of her yard, but Lana baby...... you killed poor skunky. He is DEAD! This may indeed be a lost relative searching for revenge that has cleverly disquised himself, but NOT SKUNKY! Lana... say it with me girl, "I Killed Skunky, and he is not coming back." Princess was trying to be a good friend and slap you out of it! You need to just grieve so that you can move on darling...... just move on. We all know you did not mean to run over and flatten poor ole skunky. I think that is why his relative is searching out SCS members to get you the message that his family does not hold any grudges and that you need to move go on.... let it go. Take a deep breath. You can do it, I know you can.......
Skunky's tail was NOT that big.......

Some other things tp keep in mind with the grief process:
* accept the loss Lana (this is what Cambria and PrincessMi are working on)
* occupy your time with activities-stamp, stamp, stamp
* Postpone major decisions-maybe wait a week or so to place that next big order
* Seek counsleing as needed-we are here for you Lana. But you must take the first step.

That's funny. Skunkie is all the way down in Texas when I could have sworn I smelled him up here in Michigan!
I really didn't know what this skunk thing was all about until I went and searched the archives. Now I know all of Skunkie's sad history and I have to say....

I don't know if you all are aware that .....well.....I am a Skunkologist! I have studied the life cycle and migratory patterns of stinkiolus blackous for many, many years.......this particular breed is a Skunkiolus stinkious.......it is a migratory breed that’s pattern falls between the northern and southern parts of the U.S.A. They are often seen in parts of Wisconsin and have been seen as far south as Texas. Be very careful of this breed. They have been found with Opossum like attributes, such as playing dead. I personally have seen one "resurrect" even 3 days after it was found "dead". They are particularly dangerous in the fall when peanut butter becomes popular. Children have been observed being chased by this breed, dropping their lunch boxes and running off, only to return and find their peanut butter sandwiches missing. If you are aware of the presence of one of this breed in your vicinity, contact your local Skunkologist at 1-888-you-stink. We would be more than willing to Aleve you of your peanut butter for your own safety!!!

I'm sorry we have to disagree on this subject (no flames please-lol). We have two professional Skunktologists to verify this is indeed SKUNKY, and there are a few of you who still cannot accept this. I DON'T NEED INTERVENTION! Skunky lives! Yippy, Skunky lives. TexasGrammy, I can't wait to get an update from last nights skunk patrol. I sure hope it isn't a false alarm and you catch another crow. Thank DH for catching Skunky for me and returning him to me! I am so very grateful. Lana

Cambria-Lana is not moving from the 1st stage. She has somehow got others believeing Skunky (RIP) is back again. When he was (ahem) laid to rest, was it near a spooky pet cemetary in Bangor, Maine? Now Lana has more people participating in a wave of group delusions. I have not seen such a case as this before. Very sad.  __________________

Camsmom, Cami, Mi, - hmmmm, anyone else notice how similar those names are, and how only they insist it can't be Skunky? Coincidence? I think not. What evil lurks - oh wait, Skunky.
Would it be so awful to just admit that Skunky returned, In Texas, Skunk Heaven? If it makes Lana feel better, what's the harm? Maybe it will liven up her stamping, not that I can imagine Lana stamping any livelier. (A mere mortal stamper, with limited imiginative powere, that's me)

As luck would have it, I'm a skunkoligist also. Who knew so many stampers would have this skill as well?! You know for every skunk expert that tells you one thing, you will find another who sees it another way. (Just like in the courtroom). If you look at the markings on the lower part of the Texas skunk you will see they differ slightly from the markings on the dearly deceased Skunky. This indicates that they are most likely from the same skunk family but not the same exact skunk.
I'm sorry to break this to you Lana, but now that you have heard the truth from another skunk expert perhaps you will accept it and move on. We all know you did not intentionally kill Skunky. This Texas skunk may have been trying to convey that message to TexasGrammy knowing she would communicate with you.
Here are some steps I recommend you take:
1) Take in 3 big calming breaths. Breathe in.... breathe out.
2) Repeat to yourself 4 times, "Skunky is gone, I must move on."
3) Stamp something beautiful (this should be the easy part for you)
4) Post your beautiful artwork for all SCS to enjoy!

Yes, little skunky has returned. Can't get enough of that Creamy Jif & Ritz!! It's a good thing too, because I was supposed to whisper a message to him from Lana.
He left his little knapsack near the PB Buffet, with a note in it for Lana. Lana, I took the liberty of reading it:
"Please tell Lana that all is forgiven. OF course you know that felines have 9 lives .... well, the 'skunkolus stinkems' have 13 and I've got a few left. By the way, PB & crackers are excellent here in Texas! Love, Skunky"
