How would you rank yourself?
Yesterday I was thinking about where I'm at with my stamping. I think I'm doing well, I would just like to be better. So the question is:
On a scale of 1 (so terrible I wonder why I do this) to 10 (I am the Queen of All Things Stamped) where are you? Where do you want to be?
I'd say I'm about a 6.5, but I'd like to be an 8 or 9.

I would have to rank myself at a 6.5 as well. Alot of room for improvement, but well past beginner.
Debra, I went to your gallery and I have to tell you girl, you are already at an 8 or 9. Your cards are awesome!!!

Some days I impress myself so much I surely must be a 10. Other days I'm so bad that I surely must be a minus 10! All in all though, I think I'm probably about a 6 or 7. I of course want to be a 10 every day!

I'd say around a 7...but I'm a FAST learner and can copy just about ANYTHING I see. I can get a clean image almost every time and centered and all of that stuff...so at least I'm only stamping what I INTENDED to stamp! Hee, hee! For ME....it's usually the ideas that are a problem! And for SOME reason, sketches just don't do it for me. I have to see color samples and then I can jump off from there.

I'd say I'm at about a 4.5. I was probably a 2 when I started. My stuff has definetly gotten better, but I still am not very adventurous, so everything is very similiar- but at the same time, I also don't really have a style.
I think it would be nice to be an 8- but I don't have the time to devout to getting a lot better, so how about a 6.

As a beginner I am bearly a 1 but not so terrible I wonder why I do this.
Of course, I want to be a 10+ and that is how I would rate a lot of people in the Gallery! I can see it is going to take a lot of practice since I don't seem to have the "natural ability" to get it right the first time.;)

I don't worry about ranking myself. I enjoy stamping and creating cards. And I don't take it too seriously. Its fun to do.

WOW...gamblemom! I just went through your gallery and put a bunch of your stuff into my favorites! I especially love your coaster boxes that you made with Basic Grey papers...love the little scalloped border at the bottoms. WOWZA!
I would put myself at about a four..maybe a five on a good day. I just don't have the time to devote to stamping at this point of my life. I have two babies here at home with me all day (in my avatar) and three big kids at school and all their activities. I do enjoy stamping so much and try to get a little in here and there...looking forward to when the kids are a bit older and they can play more independently.

Every time I sit down to stamp, I try my best at it and have a fun and relaxing time, so I'd have to put myself firmly at off every scale!

I'm harder on myself than anyone else seems to be. I would rate myself about a 3. Maybe. I don't have a gallery mostly because it seems embarrassing to load my stuff next to the cards I see here. I put everything into each card so I am not a prolific stamper even though I stamp or paint or create every single day. I love my obsession with this art, and I guess in the end, to me, it doesn't matter if anyone else thinks I'm a 3 or a 6 or a 9. I have as much fun making a mess as I imagine some do making a masterpiece.
My goal? To continue to have a really good time messing about in papercrafts and to make things that I love. Deep down, I want other people to love my work too, but if I'm happy with it, that's what I really need.

Hmmm well since I have only been doing this since last Christmas, I'd probably just put myself at a 2, i'm not terrible but there is definately room for improvement. Of course I get better and better as my supply stash increases.

Probably a 3. I can case anything and it looks good, but I have trouble creating a card that looks really good. I'm never satisfied with the outcome. But I enjoy making them, and my friends love receiving the personal ones. I try to make a card VERY personal, usually focusing on their hobbies, interests, nickname, etc. So they like them a lot, and that's what matters :-) But I'd like to be at least average!

Having been stamping for over 10 years now, I'd probably rank myself, overall at a 7 or 8. However, on a creativity alone scale, I'm a 4 or 5.

Now I am REALLY curious to see some of your cards!! You could always upload some and delete them later if you are still embarrassed!
For masculine cards and stuff involving patterned paper and modern styles, I am a 1. For SOME antique stuff, I think I am a 10. Most of the time I probably hover around a 6 or 7. I am so bad at masculine cards. I told my stamper friend "cards for guys?! That's what Hallmark's for!"

I agree with Emily, I am my toughest critic (I think!).
It is always hard to critique yourself.
But I know where I want to get---10!
So I am going to keep practicing....but I still have those days that I ask "Why do I do this?" But I think that might me normal, right?

On a day with good stampin esteem I'd rank myself around 6 or 6.5. Any other day I fail to even register.

When I started I was a 1 and maybe have increased to a 2. I can copy pretty good but when it comes to being creative, I am the pits. I also mount everything crooked so need to work on that. I wonder if I will ever get better. Sometimes I wonder why I have spent all this money and have all these stamp sets and supplies. There is not much I don't have and I still want MORE!!!! But I need to get better. Love everyone elses work.

I don't know... like an 8 if I'm lucky?
It's funny I can name 20 people in a heartbeat who are 10's!
This reminds me of this survey thing for SU people did, you had to be beginner, intermediate or advanced.
Somedays I'm intermediate, but I tell you some days I feel advanced! I really do. It makes me happy. then other days I feel very beginner.
I can't even remember what I put!

If you asked scrapbooking, I would say 10, stamping probably 7, but when combined a 9 of course.

I'd say I'm a 5. Past a beginner, nowhere near a pro. I like trying new techniques, and can generally copy anything. My supplies are growing by leaps and bounds, and it's sure helping. I hate it when I have an idea for a card, or see one I want to copy but don't have all the goodies to make it. Sure helps to have it all on hand.

hmmmm... when I started, I'd say I was about a 2. I look at some of my first cards and CRINGE now! LOL.
I think I am now capable of producing stuff an a level 9-10 - my brother's wedding invites for example - but on an average day I would say I'm about a 6. I'm ok with that because I know I can do something great if need be, but for the most part, less time-consuming wins out over work of art! LOL.
