Default Alternate Uses for Spiral Tab Punch

I have seen so many uses for the SU Round Tab Punch, but aside from journaling-what else have you used the spiral tab punch for?

One of my customers came up with the idea to use it for tabs. I did an example here:
TLC113 Doodle This with New tabs by camsmom at Splitcoaststampers

and i have also used it for ribbon spots-I got the idea from Misermom.
Here is her example:
Unwrap this! by Misermom at Splitcoaststampers
and mine:
I love "The Office" WT100 by camsmom at Splitcoaststampers

I am sure you guys have more examples of how yours has been used.
Let's see them!!

Do you have any samples? Either way getting the ideas together in one place would be great!

There was a nother pic I saw where someone threaded ribbon through it, and another one used as candle flames.

Can anyone find those pics? I thought I had saved them but i did not. ;)

I saw the candle reference somewhere, too. While I was looking for it, I found this one that used the punch as a frame. Very cool!

Thank You Meerkat-love that frame!!

I think the rolodex was made using the 1/4" square punch and not the spiral punch. ;)

Well, when I first saw the punch, I was jazzed about it because I thought it was used for punching paper that you would later use to cover those pesky spiral bound albums & notebooks that you could never cover because of that dang spiral binding. With this punch, you can stamp paper or cardstock, then cover right up to the spine of a book if the spacing on the spirals is about the same. Using it as a card decoration was secondary to me.

Then, I had this mini spiral bound book with these ugly green pages... about 20 of them. I got it as part of a kit and I thought "Ick, I'm going to throw this out because I will never use a 20-page mini book with these ugly green pages.

THEN THE LIGHT BULB WENT OFF!...

I tore out all of the ugly green pages and kept only the spiral binding. Then, I made some cute oversized tags for a tag book, punched the tops of them all and put them into the rings of the old icky spiral book... viola...an instant bound tag book (sorry, no pics and I already gave it away).

Then I got to thinking... the dollar store is full of these little spiral notebooks and such. I could bring a piece of paper I punched with the spiral binding punch and if the spirals match, I can use the spiral bindings to make my own custom books, albums, notepads, etc. I can stamp away and add or remove pages as I wish because the punch allows you to remove or add pages any time you want.

To summarize, I view it as a way to cover and bind books with sprial bindings. The cute "office" look cards are just the cherry on top!

I love the spiral and tab punches. I am keeping a special journal using the 5 x 5 mini art journal. I've embossed tags with the bug and stenciled over them. I spiral punched the bottom end and put them into the journal--flags. Also punched the bottom of coin envelopes and inserted them as pockets into the journal. Used the tabs to separate the sections of the journal. Now I want to try the ribbon threading talked about on this thread.
