Default Ever feel like NOT stamping?

God forbid a stampaholic like me not feel like stamping, but it has happened. I have so many projects that I have to get done (stamping projects...lots of birthdays this time of year) and I have really no interest in sitting down and stamping! I made 2 matboard journals for a girl at work that was leaving and someone ordered 2 of them from me...I have no desire to start them!

I know that if I attempt to do some stamping that I will not be happy with what I make and end up doing it all over again.

What do you do when this happens to you??? I feel totally UNinspired...stamper's block maybe??? :?

HELP ME!!!!!

Oh this definately happens to me! Here are some suggestions from me:

Hope this helps! It always comforts me to hear someone else feels this way. How do the designers who work for SU do it??

I think we all have gone through that. I am going through it right now. I think it's normal. I just have been catching up on my reading and just doing nothing.....Feels good every once in a while. My stamping comes and goes in spurs.

Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs and smiles.

I think it might be the pressue of HAVING to make something and also when people request a certain look and layout...takes the imagination out of it!

I think I'll take a nap and then maybe I'll feel like jumping in a creating!

    Thanks for the suggestions!

Yes! WHen I'm pregnant (not implying you are!!) I just can't stamp.

Ask my sister, LOL, she had just started stamping and wanted me to stamp with her and I could NOT get motivated!!

Now I've had the baby and I am stamping like crazy again

Yeah, it's normal. Most of the time I spend right here - then I don't have much time left to stamp! But I've been working on two baby scrapbooks, and I am totally not inspired to finish the last one. I have been getting other little things out of the way - like paying bills (so I have somewhere to stamp and the electricity so I can see what I am doing), cleaning the house (also so I have somewhere to stamp!), sending out my newsletter (so I can have a workshop and make enough money to buy more stamps), and scratching other little things off my to-do list. A little variety is always good! That usually helps me be able to get back to into the stamping mood. Also, eating chocolate is always good, whether or not you're in the mood for stamping! LOL

That was my suggestion too. Actually, I'll take it a step further and say get out of the house - go get a hot fudge sundae and you can drop one off here for me while you're at it

I think we all get like that. I get "stamper's block' too....cant' come up with an idea I like. I find hanging out at my upline's and looking at her swaps motivates me. Looking at stampin' galleries do too.

When I just don't want to stamp, I clean and organize my craft/stamp room. Helps me clear my head and focus a little better. Even if I don't end up stamping, I get the area cleaned up for the next time!

    Default don't feel like stamping...

I go through it at least several times a week. It's usually my sign to take a mental health break---I'm going through it right now! I usually sit in front of the t.v. when that happens.

As the wise Abraham Lincoln once said, "this too shall pass..."
