Default Re: card layout

I don't know how to go about finding this on SCS site. There is a card layout that alot of people use that has a piece of patterned paper narrower at one end and then it gets wider at the other end. This piece goes across the middle of the card and then usually something is stamped and mounted over this piece. I am not too good at providing links. Hope this makes sense? What are measurments for this and how do you cut the paper in that shape?

You might be looking at cards made for sketch challenge 96. See this thread:

Forums at Splitcoaststampers

The sketch is shown as a thumbnail in the first post and there is a link to all the gallery submissions for that sketch challenge in the same post. The instructions are there as well...it is made with double sided paper folded up to see the other side. Simple!

Sounds like it's a challenge layout, go look in the "splitcoast challenge" forum, it should have all the info there.

The one I found was Sketch Challenge 118. Here's the thread for that: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
There is a challenge forum listed below this forum. There's a challenge for every day of the week, and they are lots of fun!

If you look at the list of forums, I think about the 8th one down the page, you will find Challenges. Click on the one called Sketch challenges. I believe it is in the first thread you will find a link to ALL of the challenges. One of the links is for the sketch only, and the other is for an example plus the sketch. As I recall, those files are so large that you might have to select the first or second part of the group. I have printed the sketch only examples - one of the awesome resources found in SCS.
There is a different sketch for each day of the week.
Hope this helps.

Ooops! I just reread what I posted a couple of days ago. My mind and fingers were out of sync.

"There is a different sketch for each day of the week."
Roxie does a great job with the challenge but not quite that much! This should have read there is a different sketch each week.

I have also found that when you click on the thumbnail sketch in the thread and it opens. You can print it off and it will be about the size of the 4.25 by 5.5 card or the half sheet folded. Then you can just measure the pieces on the sketch to get as close to the size as you need. That seems to eliminate having to have exact measurements listed for each sketch. I hope that makes sense.
