Versamark

I saw on another thread something about cleaning stamp pads....I have heard there is a way to clean Versamark. I have little yuckies all over it. Any suggestions?

I read once that someone took that flat end of a butter knife and pulled it over the versamark pad. So I tried it. It worked pretty well. I couldn't believe how gross my pad was. It didn't get all the "died" stuff of the pad, but it did get the stuff that was affecting the way it stamped off. So then after I did that, I just reinked it. My pad looks no worse for the wear. I will keep this up as long as my pad can take it.
