Did you order direct from Stampers Sampler or did you pick up your copy in a local store? I've been anxiously awaiting this issue and need to know if it's time to pester the local store about it (again!) or give it another week

According to their website, it should be in stores Sept. 1st. I have it maked on my computer calendar
I got mine today too - I preordered it. I thought I ordered two copies and only received one so hopefully another is on it's way.
Take Ten is a large collection of card samples that supposedly take only ten minutes to make (so they are less involved than many of the cards typically featured in Stampers Sampler, which puts it out.) It is published twice a year. This issue has TONS of SU samples.
It's expensive - $14.95 I think, but worth it. Prior issues have practically become collectors items. I saw an issue of Vol II go for $70 on Ebay!
I'm so excited! I got mine in the mail today and haven't even opened it yet. I'm saving it for a long car trip we're taking tomorrow but the anticipation is killing me. Can't wait to see all the great samples!

I'm so glad to hear it's better than vol. 2. That was pretty disappointing. Does anyone have the website. I'll have to order one because my stamp store went out of business -- boo hoo -- and if I don't order it directly, I probably won't get one.
Where do we get a copy? Directly from a publisher or is it a newstand thing we can go pick up. And is it available in Canada? Help me please, this sounds wonderful!!! LOL

I have been calling Michaels and JoAnn at least twice a week for 2 weeks checking to see if they got any copies in yet. Our Michaels gets magazines on Wednesday, and when I called they said they hadn't set stuff out yet.
When I called Stampington a few weeks ago to ask about the shelf release date, they said a week or two before the 1st they could start appearing. So, I'm going NUTS trying to wait, I'm so afriad I'll miss it!! I never got volume 1, have never seen it, but I really liked Volume II. I keep hearing that it wasn't as good as the first one, which made me wonder how much better can it possibly be?? Looking forward to finding it here in Riverview, too!!
Congratulations, Julie!! I was thinking yesterday that I'd probably see your work along with Lana's in Volume III, so I"m glad to hear it's there!!

As far as I know my Michaels never got in the volume 1 or 2, I bought them at book stores like Borders or Barnes & Noble. How exciting to have your work published in them, I was going to send some things in but didn't. I think if it's not to late I might try for the 4th issue.
Haven't called to see if they have this one in yet, but I have gotten mine at Borders bookstore. I know they have sold them at Barnes and Nobles, too.

Okay, so I read the posts and decided I HAD to have the magazine. So, I just ordered it. Wow, $35.30 ($14.95 plus shipping and handling), and I didn't specify any special rush delivery. Hey, you guys... I'm trusting you that this is a wonderful magazine - hope it's worth the $35.30!!! I could have purchased a couple sets of stamps for that. I guess we all look at purchases that way, huh?

Lauren, it sounds like you are paying for back orders of Stampers Sampler which is around $35.00. The Take Ten Volumes are only $14.95 plus tax. Check your order to find out what the heck you are getting. For that price, it had better be solid gold.

I was SO excited to see the new Take Ten magazine in my mailbox yesterday ... I had not preordered it, but had submitted several cards. They published one of my cards (p. 128 ... Your Kindness)!!!!!!!!!!

I recognized several names from SCS ... Way to go, ladies!
I went to Hasting's at lunch today to see if they had it yet....... and..... NO! They didn't.... a girl brought out two boxes and set them by the magazines.... so I took it upon myself to open them both (after she walked off, of course!) and checked them all.... and..... NOPE! there weren't any in there either! I guess I'm just gonna have to wait....
Thanks for letting me know they have such high value on eBay! I just sold my Volume II for $30.00. Someone else is selling for $40.00. I cannot believe I got that much! :shock:
I went EVERYWHERE looking for a copy today. I would just LOVE to see a card of mine or any of my stamping buddies in there! Guess I'll have to wait until Sptember 1st.....YIKES!
