Default square cards ?

What are the dimensions of the square cards? What envelopes fit them? What size cardstock is the easiet to cut these out of?

Thanks in advance! I have seen so many pretty ones, I want to try it out!

Default Square Cards

Square cards are usually 5.25 x 5.25 or 5.75 x 5.75. The envelopes we sell are 5.5x5.5. I always order 12x12 cardstock to make square cards. If you use 8.5 x 11, there is too much waste. With 12x12, you can get 2 cards or 4 cardfronts out of a sheet, like you do with regular sized cards on 8.5x11 cardstock.

By the way, the post office charges extra for square cards because they have to manually stamp them. I usually only give square cards in person.

Hope this helps,

Jennifer

SU is now selling 6.5 x 6.5 inch square vellum envelopes and are pushing the coolest idea... making 6 x 6 scrapbook/cards to fit inside them. I just love the concept!

So do this... buy Grandma a 6 x 6 srapbook album and send her a 6 x 6 scrapbook card with pics of the grandkids on it, both inside and out. She can cut it in half and have 2 6 x 6 pages for her album. How neat is that! Give the album at Christmas and send the cards throughout the year. You'll ALWAYS stay on her good side! LOL!

It IS a brilliant idea! Unfortunately I can't take credit for it. I either saw it here somewhere or got it directly from SU.
