I will be there with bells on. Well maybe not bells but you know what I mean. Autumn, we need to make sure that we don't make the same project since we almost did for the last one.
Also, 12 pounds!!!!!!!! Way to Go Girlfriend! Keep up the great work.

Oh how sweet Heaven sounds when you have sent a loved one there.
I'd really like to go, but it's 9 weeks after I have my hip replaced. My recovery time is supposed to be 6 weeks, so I'll have to play it by ear. Unfortunately I won't know until after the surgery and we see how I'm doing.
Well, Laura, we do have a chair lift to get you up to the room. But I am sure that you are worried about sitting in a hard chair all day long. I hope you can come.

This will be the third time I've had my hip operated on, so I'm kinda used to it. I think the chairs will be fine by that time. (If not, I'll bring a pillow ;) ) I'll just have to see how I feel otherwise. As of now, put me down to be there and I'll let you guys know if anything changes.
Laura that is totally understandable...for you I can make an exception. JLMK when you can and I'll be sure to check on you during that time. HUGS!

Sign me up!!!
I need to stamp. I have been babysitting a baby boy for 2 months now. He was 2 months when I started. When I took the job I thought 2 month old no problem, Ya Right! He is the fussiest baby I have ever met! He is gassy all the time, and Doesn't sleep good at all. I need some time to my self. Thank God this is my last week. I pray my baby is not like that! Or any for that matter! Last night was the first night he slept thru the night for his mom. She ended up getting up cause she thought something was wrong.

I am interested in attending. I'll have to work out child care issues since DH is "supposed" to be in school back east at that time. I'm planning to attend, I just may not be able to stay the entire time.
Also, would it be bad if I brought my son to the dinner on Friday night? (He's 3.5 y/o.) Child care could get pretty expensive for both friday evening and Saturday.
count me in, for sure! I missed the last one due to the SU regional the same w/e but I have put the date in INK on my calendar and will look forward to it! Jan

Hi! Melissa, boy your not kidding child care can get expensive, but I'd rather pay the bill and know it's good care than get it cheap an not know, KWIM.
Anyway, as for your question about bringing your 3.5 y/o son to the Friday night dinner. I personally don't have a problem with it but since I was an attendee of the last dinner from the first stampede, I do remember some conversation that may not have been suitable for young ears.(I have a 4 year old and personally he may have learned too much that night had I taken him:rolleyes: learning some of it from me. LOL ) Not that anyone was being disgusting but we were all having a good time and unwinding after the travels and so forth. So I would say it is your decision as for the Friday night dinner. Sorry, hope I was a little helpful.

Good point Autumn, I hadn't even thought about it from that perspective. I'm sure no one inappropriate, but I would expect adult conversation from a bunch of women. I'd be in the mist of it as well! ;) I'll either get a sitter for him or not attend.
We'll see what happens, DH may not go after in which case it won't be an issue. Ya' gotta love the military! There are hints being dropped that personnel changes will be coming and he may not go to Korea or attend this school; (they may move him up a couple of positions.) I should be used to the last minute, but it sure makes planning more difficult!

I totally understand what you are saying, but you never get used to the last minute changes. My husbands where abouts in his deployment changed 4 times, the last place changed a week before he left, while he was in the middle of out processing.
A friend of mine told me this evening that her friends fiancee' is in the army and got notice that he will be deployed 4-6 more months, after being there 8 months, and their wedding is next month.
Military life is hard!

Well my DH is out of the Airforce now but he works for the phone company and his schedule is worse now. :( And by no means did I mean to make it sound like you couldn't bring your little one. I know how I am personally when I am around adults having adult conversation you tend to get silly after your used to just being around little people. And truthfully, if BADMOM6666 is there she ALWAYS gets me into trouble. It's ALWAYS her fault just like she got me into trouble during VSN one time. LOL

Yeah, I was calling out the BADMOM6666 because I haven't seen here in awhile. Just in case anyone was wondering. LOL
