LSC111 - Celebrating Grandma
Mother's Day is getting closer. This week we are going to concetrate on cards made for Grammy (from our kids, but made by you). So, I want you to focus on kid friendly sets. Get creative with mixing as many sets as you like. No limits on sets or embellishments this week.
BUT.......................
Don't be too mad at me.............
NO FLOWERS
Yup. You read that right! :p Leave the flowers for the card you will make for your mom that will be from you. Focus on kid friendly sets with no flowers for Grammy. Are you up to the challenge?
Keyword: LSC111
My Samples
Grammy's a Gem
Bugs & Kisses
If you are unable to participate in this week's challenge, please visit one of the bonus challenges you may have missed! Or maybe find an old LSC challenge you may have missed or one you want to try again! We would love to see those cards, too!
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!
Need help linking a card? Follow these instructions!
1. Open 2 windows. One window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Got to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
Your done!

Francis---I got the cutest dog card this week from a dog. So cute. It was a birthday day. On the back it says, Let's do this in another 7 years. By the way, I just got 2 grand-dogs this past week.

I've received some messages about this being difficult for some people to participate in... for very legitimate reasons. ;) Please consider doing one of the bonus challenges or an older LSC challenge you may have missed. We would love to see those cards, too!

Ack! My 'do every challenge' streak may have come to an end. I don't have kids. :( But maybe my furkids (cats) can do a card without flowers that could be appropriate to send to a mother for mother's day. It could even be prettier than the usual gifts I receive from my cats.

Bet if everyone really looks in the stamp drawers they can find something that isn't a flower...... It's in there saying "pick me....ewww pick me" I like the "challenge" part of the challenge because it really takes me out of my comfort zone! Thanks Jen~ Good Luck everyone!!!!

Hmmmm... no grandmas is my family. And kids are college age... hmmmm.
I think kid friendly for them is not quite what you had in mind. Just got treat yourself. May have to use that.

Of course they can do a card! My mom always gets birthday and Christmas presents from her furry grandbabies. Now to make a card that looks like my cats designed it...

Yup - I AM the grandma. But I need to get some cards made for the military - there are probably a lot of the guys and gals who have grandmas to send cards to. This might work for some one else, too. But, no flowers? Guess it would not be a challenge if it were too easy. Off to bed and maybe I'll dream about this.

All right Jen, here's mine. This was a little easier than I originally thought, and now I have more ideas going thru my head. They'll have to wait until tommorrow night or the weekend when I get rid of the in-laws.:-|

OK. I had this card all done when I realized there are little blossoms on the lily pad wheel. It is NOT a flower card though so I hope these are acceptable. My DS LOVES frogs so he can give this to grandma.

This is going to be a great challenge. I am not feeling well, but hope to get time tomorrow to make a card. Both my boys will definitely have to give their Nanny a grand-Mother's Day card, so this will perfect!

I needed a seagull in the sky (don't have one) and a Prima flower for Grandma in the crab's hand, but I held back on the Prima-don't worry!

I had two ideas. One 'designed by' my cats, or a different one. I did the different one, but I may do a cat one tomorrow.
This probably won't be approved until morning, but this tonight's card:
Froggies
