Well on Friday morning my consultant came over and I signed up to be a demo! I am just thrilled about it. She was very excited because to her my decission was out of the blue. I have been thinking about it for years though and when I got the new catty and my wish list was over $800 I said...Amy it is silly just sell it yourself! So I did! I had a bazillion questions and have come up with a few more. I think I am going to have a blast and I know I can do well even though it seems like everyone is signing up.
I cannot wait to see my kit and get the acess to the demo site and the magazine that comes every month. I hope my kit comes quickly....

Congrats to you.. have fun and you will enjoy it, I know I would!! . Heck divide up your "wish list" and use it for 2 quarters... just order at least the $350 before end of August so can take advantage of that extra $$ hostess money!!
Congratulations on becoming a demo. You will love it! And yes....one of the hardest thing is waiting for the kit, or any other SU order. LOL
What you can do is call SU about 4 days after you send your paperwork and ask if they have received it. If so they will be able to give you your demo number and a password. That way you can already explore the demo part of the Stampin' Up! website. And if you wanted....you could already place an order before your kit even comes. LOL. You will get 30% extra income on your first order!!!!
Congratulations AMY!!!!!! I've only been a demo since March and still doing the happy dance!!!! It's sooo much fun!!! The kit that is offered now is awesome!!! It seemed like forever until I got my kit (I'm not patient), but I did get my Demo # and was able to sign on the website and see it before my kit came. Good luck!!

I am about to sign my FIRST demo and I am already anxious to receive yer starter kit - and we haven't even ordered it yet!!! SU has really upgraded the starter kit!!! I think you are signing up at the right time!!! Don't forget the great new bonus kit they have for "NEWBIES" with an additional set of supplies - you would be very wise to take advantage of that!!!

Oh how exiting that you joined on Friday too Debbie. Thanks Beate for the tip I am dieing to get onto the web site and play! I am sure my upline is just thilled I called her out of the blue and she was so happy and excited! The best part is that she only lives about 3 blocks from me. Talk about close support!

Hubby thinks I am nuts and still shakes his head saying we are going to be to busy.. told him what is a party every 3 months?? Oh well.. I keep working on him!! I thought you got 6 months to meet your first $300 from when you sign up? Am I mistaken or did i read a post wrong? I just gotta get these things down ya know I am so excited I want to sign up Saturday at my demo's open house, but it's gotta wait for a bit... I just wish my DH could get excited for me too, since this is really what I NEED to do.. lol

My demo told me that signing up this month (July), I don't have to have sales in my first quarter. So, for me, that means I don't have to have sales until the Oct/Nov/Dec timeframe. I guess they give you some time to get used to it and build a customer base. In this town that's hard.....I know everyone (literally, well almost everyone except newbies) in a town of 400 and I figure it may wear thin. I sure hope not!
This is great, because a GF emailed me this am saying she "wants to be my first"...LOL...and we're waiting until October (after summer, and after everyone's back to school/work) to do it. This should guarantee my minimums for that quarter.

Congrats Amy I too signed on Friday but I overnighted my papers. I was willing to pay the extra money to get my stuff quick. I went to my demo's house and she showed me all the cool things to do on the website and did not want to leave. I cannot wait but that means I will have to share my time between the 2 sites.
You'll love being a demonstrator. I only signed up in May (only has a hobby demo) and now that I've run out of money, I've booked my first party. I'm a bit nervous about doing it since it's with all my friends and they've been stamping for a lot longer than I have, but they're dying to see the new catalogs so they're ready to shop. I'm hoping I'll have a good size party.
You'll LOVE it when you get your kit. Some many new things to play with. My DH (although he'd never admit it) even got excited when he saw all the new stuff. You'll also learn to love SCS really quickly. All the info you can get from this site is wonderful. And although I've not gotten to know any of the ladies well yet, from what I've seen so far they're an awesome group to be part of.

You are going to LOVE it! You can make your business anything you want! I have two boys under 5 and I am a demo hobby right now, but plan to be a career demp later.
