WT05 - Ways to Use It Challenge - Embossing Powder
This week's Ways to Use It Challenge is very simple so that more people can participate. I'd love to see LOTS of cards, so if you've never posted, please do. Everyone is very friendly! So pull out your heat gun and whatever powder you have and let's emboss it. You can use clear ep, metallic, glassy glaze, resist techniques...whatever makes you happy.
Please don't forget to put WT05 in your keywords section and post a link back here on the thread. We don't want to miss your work!
Julia
Here is a card I posted last night for the color challenge with clear embossing powder used on the front to get you started.
Here is one I did last week with about as much gold EP as I think one card should have! LOL Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Julia, I think this is a challenge is just super! We all have stuff, and sometimes we forget to use the stuff we have! I know I do, at least. Thanks for encouraging us to use our stuff!
Here are a couple cards I made today for this challenge. Lots of embossing and color on one and the next is subtle with canvas embossed over top of the image to look like fabric.
We must have been thinking alike this afternoon! I just uploaded a card with all embossing as well. Yours is still waiting to be approved and so is mine....we'll just have to be patient I guess. Here is my link...

Embossed meets Polished Stone
I waited until my card got approved to post the link because last night it got stuck overnight with no card showing. I embossed first and then did the polished stone over it. A lot of steps, but it was fun. Thanks for doing the challenges. This is the first week I have done them and it has been a lot of fun. I have enjoyed looking at everyone's for quite a while! You all do such great cards.
I don't have many colors of embossing powder, so I just clear embossed on green galore then used sponges to rub turquoise or pink passion ink overtop. I'm actually excited with how different they are from what I usually do! Thanks for the challenge! I now have a new technique!
Here is my entry. I am not sure what the technique is called, but it reminds me of Batik fabric, so I just had to use Beautiful Batiks (my favorite warm weather set, even though we have had flurries today in Wisconsin!!) to create this card! Lots of steps involved, but awesome results! Probably not one that I would demo for groups of more then 4.

I think this is the link to amysmarti's beautiful card...
Well, I did it . . . I just participated in my first weekly challenge ever!! I love to play with EP and just couldn't resist taking on this challenge. Thanks Julia S for getting my butt in gear!
Julia,
Here's the link to my card. Still not approved yet. I kind of got sidetracked, so only one card, and I actually had all kinds of powders too! LOL
I got this one made last night (before the new challenge was posted), but haven't had the time to add the link until now. Been a busy day! Thanks for looking.

Just trying to include some older challenges in with my current cards. Here's one for WT05 - Embossing Powder, which was used to emboss the sentiment and small butterfly right next to it. Hope you like it.
