I think it was JKinAK who posted earlier today about what she saw at Walmart today. She said she say a bumper sticker that said SCSRacing and the 1st thing she thought of was SplitCoast! And somewhere in the post Stamping in the Olympics came up. What if stamping was an Olympic sport? So.. I was thinking... what if there were a Stampin' Olympics? What events would there be?
Running with Scissors? (DO NOT try this at home!) lol
Stamp Pad throwing? distance or accuaracy
So? What are your thoughts? What events would you enter?
Maybe someday we'll form our own Stamp Olympics!

How about longest straight line with a roller wheel? That takes skills! :lol:
Too funny! I about fell out of my chair reading this! No kidding! I wouldn't/couldn't enter this event! I got a wheel with my starter kit a week or so ago. I'm terrified to even try it!! LOL I think I'll have to enter therapy, so I can give it a go!

I had no idea there was a name for the mono globs! Too funny.
And these great events! I didn't notice anything with punches, but there would have to be classic and modern versions. Maybe most from a full sheet? In shortest time? Accuracy of punching out stamped images?
I needed a laugh today!!! OH MY! I have found my home here at SCS! Aren't we all a little crazy and needing therapy for being SO into our "sport"?!?!?! Keep each other laughing!!!
OK here's : the The Deomonstrator Marathond
*Bathe & dress all 4 children in their jammies so daddy won't have to;
*Cook a junky kid-friendly dinner & feed them early so you can then make a nice dinner to make it worth daddy's while to stay home by himself w/ all 4 of his own children;
*Clean the kitchen so it will be sorta clean when you get home;
*Pack the car w/ all the stamp stuff you've stayed up late the night before preparing;
*Call daddy 3 times to see if he's running late - will he be on time???
*Write a list of rules to help Daddy: who lost what privledges that day for being a little booger, & things that have to be done, ie - pick up one kid somewhere), plus all the basics, ie - bedtime, brushteeth, prayers, etc. because after 11 1/2 yrs of marriage & 4 kids later, he still doesn't know The Rules & chaos reins when he's in charge {& he wonders why it's so hard to stay home alone w/ his own kids?!}
*As daddy is pulling up, jump in your car, yelling the directions of his meal, & remind him to read your list (he very well may never get to it);
*Go down the street & turn around because you forgot your briefcase & catalogs!
*Kiss the baby one more time because she's crying because she saw you sneak back into the house;
*Show up at the hostess's house w/o sweating & a big smile on your face;
*Walk into the exact same scene you JUST left & act like it's all a piece of cake & offer to help her finish washing kids' faces, load the dinner dishes, & clean the kitchen table so you can set up your stamp stuff!!
*Haul all your junk inside just as the first guest is arriving - Remember no sweating & keep smiling!
I'm thinking of incorporating some of this in my workshops! As an ice breaker game. Maybe stacking stamps or mounting or something.
Maybe use the incentive stamps and have the 1st person done mounting wins their stamp?
What do ya think?
Keep'um comin'! This is just too fun!!

I think UPS stalking could be an individual event as well as a relay event. You can sign me up for the relay team since I've successfully stalked my ups guy on more than one occassion. :lol:
Okay, I gotta chime in! I want a stamping decathalon (a real endurance tester). Please note that any time you get a mono booger, .1 will be deducted from your total score.
1- speed cleaning while waiting for the man in brown
2-10 yard dash down the driveway when he finally pulls up
3-20 yard hurdle carrying SU box (points deducted for any furniture or children knocked over or slipping on any toys missed in speed cleaning or leaving dinner to burn)
4-Speed Mounting-how many sets can you get mounted between dinner, bathtime, and bedtime. (no points for any mounted after kids and hubby are asleep -no challenge- unless it is after midnight)
5-this is an easy one (since we are halfway done)extra points for how many items in the box are for you and not a hostess or customer!
6-Speed Case'ing - Look up the new sets you got and see how many cards you can case before breakfast. Extra points for "tweaking".
7-Paper cutting - how many cards can you cut the pieces for to get ready for a workshop or swap-points deducted for any cutting in your jammies or if kids are crying cuz they're hungry, also for any blood on cardstock.
8-Pack and Tote - how much stuff can you pack in 1 bag for a workshop, crop or taking to a friends house. Points deducted if you cannot carry or lift the bag into the car. This is not a team event!!!!!
9-Small Space challenge. How small of a space can you actually make something in? Extra points awarded for more than 3 stamp sets and more than 6 inkpads on the table at a time, a scrap box/bin, embellishments covering your workspace. Deduction for jelly smudges on cards due to stamping where kids are eating.
10-The great equalizer/endurance challenge. SCS surfing-who can surf the longest without falling asleep/taking a potty break/or any interuptions.
Who's up for the challenge!

Great Idea, I would definitely go with seeing who can stack the tallest tower of stamps!! LOL
My daughter ( I bet she's a future demonstrator!) came up with this!....the 1st runner must enter the stadium carrying the heat gun torch to light the official SCS Olympic Torch!!

You know we could pass the "torch" clear across the states! After all, 12k members we should be passing the torch every few feet!
How about "How fast can you spend $500 in a scrap/stamp store!"
:lol: :lol: :lol:
My olympic dreams come true!!! Now this is something I could take home the gold for!!
