I do it in Adobe Photoshop.

First you need to make a file that has a text box. This is where you type your information. Save it separately.

Then when you pull up your photo or scan, paste the contents of the text file into the bottom, merge the layers and save as a JPG file.

But you don't have to worry about it to post pictures here, Daven set it up so ALL uploads have that tag line on them. Takes care of any potential trouble if somebody forgets to do it on their own...

I just have a little slip of cardstock that I write the copyright info on and then I lay it across the card in a spot where it won't obscure the design. I would just put it along the top or bottom, but I've heard too many stories about Photoshop-savvy types simply cropping off the copyright info and resizing the image. Sneaky, I know, but it happens on eBay all the time when people steal images from another auction and use them in their own. Some folks even have the nerve to add their OWN copyright notice!

Actually, Daven's tag doesn't meet the requirements. It is below the photo, not on it. People can simply copy the photos without the copyright information and that is bound to be a problem. :(

I just went in did mine in the Paint program! I was inspired by your post and put tags on all of my cards that I have scanned. I just figured out how to use it! It sometimes takes me a while to figure stuff out on the 'putter, but eventually I do!

If you're a Mac user and don't have Adobe, you can get Easy Batch software from www.yellowmug.com

This little program, very inexpensive, enables me to watermark my photos by creating the textbox in Apple Paint and saving it as a png file.

Then, it is dropped into a watermark well. Set the size and opacity of the watermark, as well as kb size limitations on the photos. Drag the selected photos from iPhoto into the photo well, and Easy Batch takes it from there. Easy, cheap, works GREAT!

I do it with the copyright notice AND my artisan's credit because I got sick and tired of finding my photos of my creations on other demo'rs sites without permission AND without proper credit (that is another story in itself).

Thank you for breaching this topic. I didn't know how to do it either and I found out I can do it paint now. I will be adding them to all my future posted creations. Thanks!

Thanks everyone your your posts. I knew I should have been doing it, but never got around to it. I do have a program that I can add it to the pictures.

Thanks again
