You know, when I see your avatars next to your name, it makes me feel like I know you all! If you don't have one yet, you've got to get one! I just did mine tonight.
I'm new to this site, stamping, and being a demo, but here I feel like I'm getting to know everyone...so of course I want to share my baby with you all.
My wonderful husband literally just finished mine... I'm so stupid when it comes to all things computer. This is Sherlock... no kids yet... somehow we captured this pic just as he was showing us he has a tongue like Gene Simmons. Your avatar is great... I too love the pics - it makes it so easy to identify people.
I like my little Genie. She reminds me of "I Dream of Jeanie." A flash from my childhood. Your kiddo is adorable! It's always fun to see a little of our personality or family life come out in our avatars.
I wonder what my dancing genie says about me????? LOL!
Tami
I also love avatars and get confused when they change!
Tami I LOVE yours-when I was little my mom called me Jeanne b/c of my middle name (Eugenia) Anyway, when we moved to a new school my music teacher asked what I wanted to be called, adn I said Jeanne. BUT I was not used to answering to that so she would call on my and I would just sit there. I ended up telling her to just call me Britta (but my best friend still laughs at me about that)
Wow-total sidetrack, sorry.
Yes, i love avatars and I can help anyone shrink it if they want to send it to [email protected] (but I'll get to it in the am;) )

Welcome. What a cutie! Is that red hair? My DH is (was) a red head and I just new I would have redheads. Both of my kids came out with blond hair. Go figure.
I had just updated mine when they changed to the new format...now its gone and i seem to be way too lazy to post another! I'm glad you posted this...makes me want to get my butt in gear!
I looooove having the avatars. I remember ppl so much better!
I'm clueless on how to do avitars. I had one before they changed the format but had someone from this site do it for me. Is there an easy way to do this?
I love the avatar's also, I had wanted one but could never get the picture sized right, a nice person from this site helped me so now I get to see my niece all day long I get confused when people change theirs often also..but I understand they need to be updated

I finally figured out how to get an avatar just two nights ago. (It has been months that I have been lurking on this site, not even sure what an avatar was!) There was no question what it would be (kids are grown, no grandchildren yet) - Murphy, my wonder dog. I was so proud of myself for sizing the picture correctly and loading it. I was like the kid who just learned to tie their shoes!

Well I have to say I LOVE MINE! My daughter set it up for me.
My second favorite belongs to sluman. I love the little guy waving! I saved him to my computer I thought I might be able to use him for something someday. The other day, maybe when things were still being fixed he wasn't waving. It really bummed me out.
The other day I asked the DH if he'd take my picture so I could put an avatar up, and he got a little worried that someone would Google me and have all my info, including a picture of me. SIGH (<- where did that little guy rolling his eyes go?) I said, "Who would want to Google me? Besides, all the other ladies are doing it!" He was a little less hesitant about it, but he sneaked off to work before he could help me out (again, insert that little guy rolling his eyes). I think I'll wait until Convention now and stand at the $20K sign (totally bragging, I know!) and use that as my avatar. I saw someone who had their avatar at the $40K sign and thought that was a cute idea. After all, I worked for it, I deserve to show it off! (I know, I know! Insert little guy rolling his eyes here!).

Yaay! I just got an avatar and gallery and everything!! I am so computer illiterate that it took several hours to do everything, but I had help from some other wonderful SCS'ers - Glitter_Girl and row4d - Thanks, girls!!
I also "identify" people by their avatars a lot quicker than I learn their user names. So fun!!!

You can have yourself removed from the Google phonebook. To find your entry, Google your phone number (with the area code). If a result comes up, click on it and then click on the link that will take you to the removal request form.

I just wanted to give a big THANKS to Britta for helping size my avatar. My family and I went and had these done this past November. They were a great gift for our Moms. Then my MIL turned around and had a jewelery box made for me using this picture. I love it!
Thanks again Britta,
Robyn

I love all te baby ones! It took me a while to get mine small enough to put on here but I finally got it last night. I am thinking of changing it to one of my dog. He is sticking his tounge out at the camera and has his eyes closed. It is so cute. We will see. For now it will be me and my DH. Oh wow! I miss him. Sorry... got side tracked. I love the animal ones too.

I, too, love the avatar's and I love that now you can add a bigger picture to your profile! To see a member's profile picture (IF they've added one), all you have to do is click on their avatar. It's great!!
I love the avatars I see here too. I think when we get our new family pic, I will have to figure out how to size it right or send it off to someone from here who knows how to do it!
I finally got one to work today. The old board kept kicking it out even though my Adobe said I had the right size.
This is my granddaughter when she was younger and this is her mean look. She, Grandpa and the dog were looking at a new fish tank and as I was taking pictures she gave me the somber look, the huge laugh and the mean look. Why did she have to grow up so fast? Fifteen this summer.
I had one until the new forums deleted it or something, maybe I'll work on that tonight. Actually right now while I wait to see who gets kicked off American Idol
