What do you do with your cards?
This is my first poll so hopefully I do it right!:o
Lately I have been trying to keep up with some of the challenges on here and it got me wondering... what does everyone do with all of their cards that they make and upload almost everyday? I usually try to have someone in mind for each one I do, but after a while, they are going to start building up! So, I just want to get some input from my fellow SCSers. You guys always have such great ideas!

Right now I just make cards for upcoming events... birthdays, anniversaries, new babies, thank you's. However, my goal is to eventually just create a card for the sake of creating. I would love to have a stash going that I could choose from in any circumstance.

I don't really give them away to friends and family, but I picked that. I send the to friends and family.
I stamp cards so I don't have to buy them.
Think of all the money I'm saving ;)

I use mine to send to my Chemo Angels buddy and also send to a sibling of a person undergoing cancer treatment through keiki cards. I also work at a nursing home and use them to send to the patients there too.

I am involved with a biblical counseling service, so I donate some of my cards to the center...they are pretty much general in appearance and, if any, fairly general sentiments too. The Directors and volunteers can use them as they wish.

I send some to family and friends but mostly I send them to people at SCS. To who, it sort of depends on the circumstances surrounding the card at the time....I do have quite a few "in stock" but I send at least 5 out a week.

I usually make two cards of each. One to give away and one to put into my sample book.

I am another that makes two, one to give and one to keep. Haven't figured out why I need to keep one for myself especially since I could put it on SCS, but...

I send them to the troops after I have a collection. Of coarse I make them to send to friends and family too. I have RAK's too to SCS but not as much as I would like.

I sell lots of cards at my office to raise money for charity, send to my family and friends for special occasions....but send most of them to my wonderful SCS friends. I never sell my favorite or most intricate cards as I always send those to SCS friends because I know they will really enjoy and appreciate what it took to create them.

I really like the idea of keeping one for yourself. My best cards are really hard to give away. I do take pictures of all my cards though, so at least I can look back and watch my progress. So far, I have only made them to send to family and friends but I would really like to make enough to give to a charity or send to the troops. It is a goal that hopefully I will attain one day.

We have a very large church, and my friend and I were approached and asked if we would make cards for encouragement for about 15 of the prayer requests each week and send them out. Also, for sympathy cards and new babies, and weddings etc. It is a great way to keep making cards and not exhausting my close family with all my creations!!

I make them for friends and family. I also make (and collect from SCSers and others) to send in "care packages" to the soldiers for them to send back to their family and friends.

I make them to send to friends and family. I also belong to a MOMS Club and make birthday cards for the moms, thank you cards, welcome and new baby cards. I make them ahead of time (keep me sane) and have a bunch on hand. I've been meaning to send more to SCS'ers but haven't gotten around to it.

Since I started cardmaking about 6 months ago, I have sent them to all my family members for various occasions. We have 5 grown children & spouses, and 16 grandchildren, so someone is having a birthday every month!
Then I have reconnected with lots of friends right here in town that I had kind of lost touch with. Several that I used to work with...you know how that goes, we will keep in touch, have lunch, etc. but you don't keep it up usually.
Everyone I've sent cards to has been so appreciative. I have gotten phone calls, emails, and even a visit in person to thank me for a card.
I told them all that they were in my "card rotation" now, and would never be free of me. Kind of like those letters from the book clubs that you can't get them to stop sending after you quit the club.
Then I have made some card-pals here on SCS and that has been lots of fun, too.
I'm just having a great time with all of it!

I started to give them to people at work, I send them to friends, and now since my co-workers love them so much, I started bundling them up and giving them as gift packs so they can give them to their friends- I have way too many the way it is, some people buy them, I give them to my fiance's mom so she can send them out. I just love to give, give, give!

I'm another who sends them to the troops when I get a stack. I also send to family and friends, but give them as gift sets only very occasionally. Not many people I know are big into sending cards, and I don't want them to think, "Oh, great, Susan sent me ANOTHER card set to sit in my drawer. "
My grandmother, who is a shut-in, does appreciate sets, though.

We have a card ministry at church, and that is where my extra cards usually wind up if they aren't specifically stamped for family and friends. Great poll by the way!

I needed to check all the responses, but I think it only allowed 4 responses. I do a little of each - I sell a few cards at our resort craft fairs - it is partially a social activity, and partially to recoup a bit of expenses so I can buy more supplies! I send a lot to the troops, RAK a few, and send to family and friends. Right now I am trying to make another batch for the troops. Wish I could work faster!

I know how some of you feel about people who don't really appreciate them. Whenever I give one to my mom she just kind of looks at it like, "oh, that's nice" and puts it aside. I think she just doesn't really like homemade stuff. The girls at work though, they love them. It's nice to give a card to someone that you think is pretty basic and they are wow'ed by it!

I'm a Card Angel with ChemoAngels, so most of my cards are going to the buddy that I've been assigned to.

I'm an incurable hoarder. It is so difficult for me to give a card away unless I made it specifically to be given away. I need therapy!

I send some and hoard the rest. I just sent a big envelope of cards to our servicemen and women. I don't sell them, but I like the idea of selling them and giving the proceeds to charity. I think I will look into that.

I make cards for others to give away. The women in my family know that their birthday present from me will be a set of 10 handmade cards plus envelopes for them to use for the coming year. Occasionally I'll make them to use myself (to give to others), but very rarely.

P.S. I always make 4 or so of the same card at once, so sometimes they get identical cards, but it doesn't matter. Often 'the women in my family' don't want to give them away because they love them so much. Guess I'm doing something right.

The majority of my cards go to my church for the prayer warriors to send out and the rest I send out for my personal use for family and friends. We have a big family, so lots of birthdays and other occasions for card giving.

I voted for give them away to family and friends, but I do a bit of each. I gave away a set at work for a Holiday gift exchange and have orders for sets since, but that's the only place I sell them. Since I have become addicted to swaps, I send just about everything I make to the SCS friends in swaps. That is great though because I also get fantastic cards in return. It is so nice to always know I have a card to give. I too, have a hard time giving away my favorites. Only people who appreciate them get those.

I send out bday cards to everyone at church. I try to mail out about 3 times a month. When I get a few extra I pass them on to the church office, the pastor, church secretary etc, to use as needed as well. I also recently learned that there is a volunteer that sends out get well and condolence cards so I am going to try to make some for her or hook her onto stamping if I can. hee hee evil grin!! (sorry no cute smilieys for me.) I would also like to make baby cards but haven't gotten that far ahead yet either.

What cards I make.. I share with my family and friends.
As well as sending them out as RAK or Swap here on SCS and other online groups.
I haven't sold mine yet! Thought about it..But that is as far as I got with it.
I just started making extra cards for my sister. and she mails them out to their church members, Birthday's, Get Wells, etc. I thought about Charging her for them.. But didn't feel that is was right to do.
Very good poll thanks for asking!

I send my cards to friends and family. It gives me a chance to practice techniques, and those I know are thrilled to get mail. It is a win-win situation, and for a lot of my relatives, they just want to hear from me and don't look for a perfect, artistic card. The cards that are turning out especially nice, I am photographing them, and venturing out sending some to a birthday club. As a rookie stamper, I'm still hesitant to display my cards.
