Default WT04 - Thursday Ways to Use It Challenge - Please join in!

It is once again time for a new Ways to Use It Challenge. This week's challenge is to use your paper crimper as many ways as you can. My paper crimper has been sitting buried in the back of a bottom drawer and I KNOW there must be some great uses for it out there. If you haven't joined in on a challenge yet, please do. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. Feel free to use this thread to post any tips for the paper crimper as well. I have a tip sheet I will post in a couple days, so stay tuned.

Please remember to put WT04 in your keywords section so it is easy to find and post a link back here. We would all love to see what you have done.

Happy stamping, Julia

Thanks for the compliments. After running the watercolored image through the crimper, I just put a small line of crystal effects on each ridge and then sprinkled with glitter. It really gives a simple card some punch and character and is so easy to do. Like most cards, it looks even better in person.

Beautiful card, Julia! I love how you attached the ribbon to it -- neat idea!

Let's see if I can figure out how to attach a document. This is one I did as part of this week's color challenge, using WCGII. I had a hard time adjusting the colors on my computer, so hopefully the white doesn't look too dirty and the black doesn't look as bluish as it did here. And, to quote Julia, naturally it looks a LOT better IRL. ;-)

Why don't you make a card with one of the earlier challenges if you have the supplies for those. We would still love to see any ideas anyone has from the previous weeks.

Here's one I just did. The other day I was playing around with my crimper and came up with this background. The scan may be hard to see, but I did a plaid background. Thanks for this challenge.

You may not see it well on the scan, but I used the crimper to make a frame on the background, and smaller pink rectangle.

Theeb, that's really cute, and I like how you popped the cake out from the candles.

I used the crimper in a card I was making today for SC16. I used the bottom of a Lego to make the brick facade, then sponged in more color. Colored and cut out the flower box from "Love Ya Bunches" (I had to reattach a few flower heads...oops), and used long grass from one of the stamps from "Summer by the Sea" along the base of the building.

Default crimper

WordTrix, Heather,

Thanks for the great Lego brick idea. I'm in England surrounded by bricks and now I can duplicate them! Anyway, I used my crimper with my wire. The wire has left a few small marks on the crimper but so far hasn't seemed to be an issue. Maybe one day I'll figure out how to post an example!

As a newbie to the challenges, I thought my introduction to crimping would be a good start. I have uploaded a few different crimping styles to my gallery.
Hopefully these links will work. I haven't done this before.
