Default Help talk me down from the ledge :-)

Ok, here is the situation I find myself in.
A couple of years ago, I signed up with TAC just as a hobby demo. However, I am more drawn to SU stamps. I guess it is the styles of stamps that SU has that draws me in. Plus the beautiful paper, pads ect..
I have been on the fence for months about giving up the TAC stamps and moving over to SU. My upline line has been MIA for 6 months and I have to write to corparate every time I have a question.
Should I just sell all of my TAC supplies and start over or stick it out?
Thanks for any advice you can give me!!

If you love Stampin Up products and you want to be a Demo, then you should definately sign-up with Stampin Up. I absolutely love it, and could not imagine going with anything else. Good luck to you! Let me know if I can be of any help.

I'm not any kind of demo but I think you should sell what you love. I really like the fact that my SU demo enjoys the products and wants them herself. Sounds like you've had a disappointing experience with your upline and you really prefer SU! products. I can't really see what you have to lose.

I also have no ties to Stampin Up! but I would tell you to sell what you like! If you are not happy with the one you are doing now, then make the change!

If you like SU more, then I would quit TAC and sign up with SU. You don't HAVE to sell yout TAC stuff....unless that is how you want to pay for your starter kit with SU.

Good luck.

I would do SU too! Of course, I just signed up and am waiting *hmmmmm* for my kit. But, I also have TAC stamps. I like to use them both! I don't think I would sell my TAC stuff unless I just couldn't use it at all anymore.

Even though I am a TAC demo I think you should go with whats in your heart. If TAC isn't your thing anymore then its fine to move on. It is not going to do you or anyone else any good if you aren't happy. Stamping should be fun. Thats what being a demo with any company is about, you should enjoy it.

I'm also a TAC demo and I continue to purchase some SU stamps. I guess I consider myself a stamper first and a demo second. My advise would be to wait until the new catalogs come out to decide. TAC continues to grow and evolve, so you may be happy with the new stuff. OR...you might see both catalogs and decide that SU is right for you.

Also, can you afford the $100/mo minimun for SU?

Waiting to make your decision when the new cattys come out I think is a great idea. That is just a couple of months away. That way you will see all of the new and exciting items both companies will offer and can make a very informed decision.

Since your upline has gone MIA I know that would get me down. Have you thought of contacting another demo and see if they would be willing to help you out and adopt you.

Choose what makes you happy.

Smile Sell what you love!

I have been a SU demo now for nearly 6 years. As a totally addicted crafter or all types, my family has seen me try and abandon almost every other craft, but my husband is amazed (and pleased) that I have stuck with SU for so long. I can only say that the difference is, I LOVE this hobby and I LOVE Stampin' Up! Like you said in your post, we have a style that fits every person and every mood. I've found that my style has changed dramatically over the years. If SU didn't have something for everyone, not only would my customers get tired of one style, so would I! The bottom line is, you can't sell a product you don't believe in. If you love SU, I say go for it! Keep the TAC stuff you like for personal use, but sell the rest to make room for new SU stuff!

Also, if you are thinking about a change, SU's starter kit is $30 off this month.
I am sending in my paperwork today!!!

Good luck with your decission!!!

Is there anywhere on line where I can find out more info on becoming a SU demo. For examples the cost of the kits to join, the fine print on sales and minimum sales ect..
Thanks Ladies!!
You can go to the SU! website - or you if you have a big catalog, you can look in the back of it. You might also try talking to a demo about what can come in the kit - from what I know it is incredibly flexible.

Good Luck!

just FYI innkyonne- i became a demo in Jan. mostly to suppport my own habit and its incredibly easy to meet your minimum. i had found that once the word got out about me being a demo, people would come to you. some may have a different story, but that's just my experience. good luck to you and make sure you find a good upline! until the catty's come out, do some searching. i stumbled into one of the best uplines (i think ;) ) not knowing that until after i had signed on!

Why do you have to sell your TAC? If you like your TAC stuff, keep it. Otherwise, if finances dictate you must sell -- then sell what you like better. The SU minimums are not really a problem for most people. Good luck!!

inkyonne,

The kit is $199 plus tax, this month it is $30 off. You can substitute any of the stamp sets that they suggest for ones of equal or lesser value. You can also pick your own ink and paper colors.
I sent in my paperwork yesterday, and I already have a stamp camp and workshop set for next month, plus if I get my demo number in time, my sister (my demo right now) is going to let me do her party on Tuesday and receive all the benefits from it. I have no doubt I will meet the quota for this quarter. Even if you just did a stamp camp each month, you would probably meet it with very little effort.
Once people realize you are a demo, the product sells itself. IMO
Good luck in whatever you decide.

Go with the company whose images you truly love and are inspired to share with others. Listen to your stamper's heart!

I say if you are drawn to SU then go for it! Right now they are offering $30 off the kit! That is a great offer!!! You need to do what makes you happy and at the end of the day you feel good about your decision.!
