Hi everyone. I'm your guest hostess this week, since Karen is in the midst of moving. For our inspiration this week, I found this picture called Cygnus Loop by Arnie Rosner on art.com.
Here is my sample: inspired joy view submissions
There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild -- be *inspired* and go get stamping!
REMINDER: Please put IC63 in the keywords box when you upload your card (no space b/n IC and the challenge number) . If you have more than one keyword use a comma to separate them. Thanks!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Thank you.
I'm up really early on a Saturday morning -- and wound up third on this list! Thanks, Melody, for filling in for Karen. Have to see what I can do with the awesome inspiration!
Thanks for filling in, Melody! Thanks for making me laugh, Andria! Take a nap, Lois - you're up too early!
Seriously, I hope to get to this later. It'll be my first challenge this week - ugh! I can't hope to come up with anything near the beauty and elegance of Melody's sample though - WOW!

Thanks again for stepping in, Melody. I saw your inspiration picture and thought of the piece of encaustic art I had left from VSN. Sorry for the glare on the picture from my flash.
Melody thanks for filling in for the challenge......gotta go to a few kid's basketball games then I can play! Love your sample!

I was getting nervous because nothing came to mind for me at first, but then an idea popped in my head ( whew ) Dream In Color
Too funny! I was feeling the same way, then I finally got an idea, then I looked at your card! We are totally on the same psychic connection again:mrgreen:
However, I'm going to have to play a little later, DD and I are running into town for a little bit. BBL
I hope to be able to come up with something for this challenge. I love astronomy and it was a hobby of mine for the longest time and I was a member of The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC), but illness stopped me from going out and looking up at the stars. I did find the Cygnus Loop (NGC 6960/95) on one night. Its very beautiful and I miss gazing at the stars. Here's a link to Astronomy Picture of the Day, which I look at quite often. Its a picture of the Cygnus Loop with info on the nebula. http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap010623.html
Here is my card. I thought of lots of color when I saw this and it also made me think of the Anne Frank quote about the world.
Thanks for the challenge and thanks for looking!
What an awesome challenge this was Meldody. I've got this photo saved for space cards for the Keiki boys so thanks for the little push in getting it done.
I actually have to throw my first attempt out I think and yet it took waaayyy longer than this one to do! This was a great challenge, but definitely a challenge for me! I miss my DH.:( *sob*
Here it is and TFL! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Oo, I love space stuff! THought about Melted Crayon Technique to create a BG, then, thought of the Happy Harmony set with the -little things, big life - sentiment. It's rather plane but I wanted the BG to be important in this card. I just make a collection! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Took me a while, but I finally loaded it, I don't really like it - not my normal style, but it took on a life of it's own so I thought I'd share it anyway:rolleyes:
