It's been frigid here in Michigan for a couple of weeks. And I have a bad cold. I'm ready for summer to get here! While some people will be traveling soon to warmer climates, I'm not so lucky. My imagination is all I have... well, that and my stamps!
This week's challenge is to make a summer card using summer images and colors. What's the limit? You can't use the word summer or use any word references to summer or summer events (like 4th of July). You could make it a get well card... maybe it will work it's magic on me. :-D )
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!
Need help linking a card? Follow these instructions!
1. Open 2 windows. One window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Got to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
Your done!

wow...am I 2nd? Cool!! =) Hope you feel better Jen....our household just became "bug free"! Hubby had pneumonia and the kids real bad colds...get better soon!
Hey, do we need some brightening up! Hope you're feeling better soon. I had to move my "stuff" in from my very cold room and am sort of taking over some space that isn't supposed to be mine. Can't wait to get back in "my" room and spread out to create. In the meantime, I can't decide if I'll stay up late or get up early to make my card......hmmm..........Thanks for the challenge, and your card is yummy cute!

Done! I immediately thought of Fruit Medley...I bought it on ebay for pennies and had never felt "inspired" to use it...that is until today! Reminds me of hot summer nights when I was little! ~TFL

What a great challenge on my DS's bday. Can't believe he's 12 today. Warm weather makes me smile. We're still diggin' out from our winter storm. Sounds like the perfect challenge to me! Feel better Jen. Sending warm wishes your way and will work on this later after work.......yup, we have to go after being home 3 days!

Love your sample card, Jen! First thing I thought of was lemonade -- the first RAK you sent me was a lemonade card!!! I'm so sorry you're sick -- I have been sick as well, on the upswing now, but it took a good 2 weeks -- no fun -- I have been sooo absent from challenges again this week -- hopefully I can try today!!! Hope you are feeling better soon!!! Hope all the summer cards and well wishes help!!!
I know I probably shouldn't be complaining about the cold considering we don't have snow on the ground and some people have feet, but 15 degrees is cold out and I don't even want to open the door for the UPS man when he arrives today! GASP!!;)
Here's Mine: Shore Thing Friend
I may live in Florida, but it's COLD! Granted, we don't get the kind of winter weather some of you do, but I had to scrape ice off my windshield a couple of weeks ago -- and we've got freeze warnings for tonight. I am so ready for summer. I'm on this one later today!

As much as I want some snow (not a blizzard or ice...just snow!!), I also long for summer and the beach! Thanks for a great challenge, Jen, and I hope you'll be feeling better SOON!

I finished this last night, but I never check about site maintenance and couldn't post to the thread when I finished. Here's a summer bella sipping a frosty bev:
The background is just made using the spots in a repeat pattern...EASY!....this one was the stamp off for doing Bargello background for yesterday's challenge. I wanted the softer look for the Bargello thing.
Oh I really want to do this one but I have to meet my neice today I havent seen her in over 20 years! We just reconnected! But until later here is a card I had fun making a while back that really reminds me of summer! Hope to post a new one later! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
You probably don't want to hear that it's supposed to be 80 degrees today here in San Diego..... We've been watching 'your' snowstorms on the nightly news, we do feel for you all!
Here's my entry -thanks for a fun challenge and a perfect chance to try out my new House Mouse stamp! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
(Really wanted to tie raffia on the card, but had to settle for ribbon...rats! (or should that be 'mouse!'????? :p )
