Cut N Tuc Technique

Does anyone know anything about the "Cut N Tuc" technique?I have just found out you have to have templates to do this, or does anyone have directions or patterns for this?? TIA

Are these the patterns that have looks like lattice? You cut "v"s and then tuck one tip under another all the down the row? I'm sorry, my descriptive powers aren't very good in the am, lol! I'm pretty sure a template is required, even if it's just a pencil-drawn one. I found a brass template for this in a scrap store once, and there's a company that makes the plastic ones. Not that I can think of the company names, sorry!

I know I've seen at least one card using this in the gallery just in the last day or two. You might want to scroll through to find it and pm the member.

This is a truly beautiful way of making cards or scrapbook pages. I think you are right Betsy, you have to have a pattern or templete to go by, but I was hoping someone would know where to get just patterns so I wouldn't have to buy all those templetes!!! Yup, you are right Betsy...went to that site and it's the lattice technique.. very pretty. I think there's a tutorial out here on SCS. Here are some instructions from one of the samples in the gallery...

Susan Lattice Folds has about 4-5 sheets of different templates. I bought mine when I went to a scrapbooking convention in Tulsa. But Paper Wishes catalog has them in their wish book. For about $20-25 you have many options. You can of course just buy one. The one I would suggest is the one that you can lay on the fold of your greeting card and then cut and fold and it gives you cards a decorative edge. Very attractive. These templates are plastic & I keep them in a 3 ring binder and have used them and used them. Hope this helps. You can go online to Paperwishes.com and get their free wish book. Their prices are not too bad and the assortment is neat. What an addictive hobby.

i know that paperwishes.com has templates that have this "lattice" look. on them it has different shapes i believe. its on my wish list for next month. they also have many other templates too. worth looking into.

There are also brass templates that you use your exacto knife with. I purchased several at the LSS. One was the one you could use on the fold and the other was in a circle when you were done. It does look cool.

I got a template at Hobby Lobby next to the stamps, where all the light box templates are. The little brass ones. It was $5.99. I used a 40% off coupon.
It is really easy. It just looks complicated.
