Are you talking about the "CardMaker" magazine from Paper Works? I got mine yesterday and I enjoyed it. Aside from the fact that it is not packed with advertisements on every other page- our own Julie Ebersole has a bunch of designs in there. I like the directions and the larger templates that are in the back of the magazine. Julie-if your reading I'm definately casing and can I tell you I LOVE the baby button in "She's Here!"

I haven't gotten mine yet but However I did go to walmart and I did look through the magazine and I tHOUGHT IT HAD SOME COOL IDEAS IN THERE.It showed some pop up cards.shaker cards, baby cards.some stamped cards one from Su had I think it was in Full bloom. Not whole lot of advertisements.
Had a lot of templates in the back to print out for certain kinds of cards.
I liked the magazine.I think you should check it out again next month at walmart.and try browsing throught it again to see what next month shows.
Although I thoiught it would of had more christmas cards. It said christmas cards and birthday cards in every issue.I remembered only seeing 1 x-mas.
Birthday cards yes.baby lots of baby in this issue.some mothers day cards. But IT'S DEFINETTLY WORTH TRYING .You can't always go by the fiest issue. There naybe more to come next month.I have gotten a years issue on some magazines and I didn't like all of the issues. That doesn't mean the rest will be bad.Overall I did like it though.

Received mine today and wasn't overly impressed. Those cards weren't really my style. I'm sure that I could still take away some ideas, but IMHO, there are much better magazines out there. I will probably send my invoice back marked "Cancel".

Thanks, Melanie! I haven't gotten my complimentary copy yet. As it is a newly launched magazine it will probably take time to grow and match customer expectations/demand? I remember when PaperCrafts was originally just Crafts magazine, and, trust me, NOWHERE nearly as intriguing as it is today . . .
Paper Crafts came about as they saw how Creating Keepsakes had captured American Scrappers' attention . . . in order to save it, they had to switch gears and they did . . . BTW, I don't know if anybody recalls the first issues of Stamp It! either . . . but boy has it also come a looooooooooooong way, baby! ;)
Sometimes, we just have to be patient and give something a chance to grow . . .
Meantime, I'm so thrilled you were inspired by the "She's here!" card--one of my favorite fun baby designs!

Mine came yesterday and my invoice went out today with a big CANCEL across it.... I had looked at it in B & N (forgetting that I had placed this sample order...) and decided it didn't have much to capture my interest...But i will keep an eye on it, I agree that it will probably improve with age...just like a fine wine ;) LOL
I haven't gotten mine yet either, but I did pick up a copy at B & N the other day. I like a lot of the ideas, maybe not my style right now, but some of the color combos and other ideas I can use. BTW, Julie..that is a really cute baby card!
I do remember when Paper Crafts was just Crafts magazine and I cancelled the Crafts subscription in a real hurry. I resigned up for Paper Crafts just as fast when they changed the format. I'm going to give this one some time and see what happens. Everything new has it's growing pains. I'm sure SCS had some growing pains in the begining too.
