I am going on Saturday also! I think a bunch of us are going to get a bus to take us from Cincy to Columbus.. fun, fun!! Swapping and fun on the bus and we don't have to worry about driving/parking/etc!
I'll be there with my SCS pin on! Finally got it from Laurel (thanks Laurel) a couple weeks ago and it's truly beautiful.
I was surprised...it's still open! Toledo filled up SO fast and it's past 11 and still not full for Columbus. Probably too soon after convention or even too soon after Toledo for some folks to justify going.
I'm registered for Saturday with two of my recruits. It will be a lot like convention, though probably not as exciting. When you get there, you get in line to pick up your name tag, make and take pack, workbook, and your free set of stamps. Take your C&R scissors to mount your stamps; you will use them in the make and take. You will also need to take whatever supplies you will be using; a list will be available a couple weeks before the event. Mostly ink pads and tools. If you are attending with your upline, recruits, or sideline you can divvy this up and only bring a few things instead of having to haul it all. You will want your own mono adhesive, fine tipped scissors, and maybe your cutter if you don't like to wait your turn.
While you are in line, you will be able to swap. Swapping is just as fast and furious as convention. Once you are done registering, go get your table that you will be sitting at in the big room. It's nice to be up front. Then mount your stamps and continue swapping until it starts.
Usually, there will be speakers on business topics and demonstrations. Make & Takes are done right around lunch time or after. Lunch is usually a turkey sandwich...very standard, very boring. Bring your own chocolate :-).
After lunch, more speakers and demonstrations. There will be in-your-seat door prizes throughout! Lots of fun!
I'm registered to go too! I'll have my SCS pin on as well. I'm going by myself. Let me know if anyone else is by themselves and we can hook up. I will only be going to the Saturday session. I'm soooooo excited. Its my first event since becoming a demo in January. I can't wait to meet you all there!
That is so exciting. You guys will be the first to go to the "new" regional. You have to give us all the dirty details as well as take plenty of pictures of the display boards and samples made there. And you have to tell us all about the new free set from the 2005-2006 catalog.
I will have to wait until the beginning of February when Stampin' Up! comes to San Antonio. I can't believe they are coming to Texas. I am so psyched!!!!
Hey Pam! Thanks for thinking of me! I posted a thread like this in the Demo section.
I will be there on Saturday! Gals, I'm soooo psyched to be there. I'm a regional/convention virgin and really am not sure I can get more excited than I am right now!!!
Now I need to make all those swaps I've been thinking about!
We SCS girls need to get together someway. Any ideas? What is this about a pin?

SCS people should wear something so we could find each other at the regional...then we could meet some people in person...but the pics are priceless too!
I registered yesterday for Friday, because Saturday was full already. I could not believe it. I don't think there is going to be much room for guest registration next week.
Now I just have to figure out if I should stay the night or drive home.
I am going by myself. I don't know anyone in my group that is going.
Do you know what hotels are near the regional in columbus..my friend, mom and myself are making the road trip from Virginia...its going to be fun. you can meet up with us if you want! are you making swaps?
I downloaded info from the SU web site and it suggested these locations.
1. Hyatt Regency Columbus
350 N. High St.
Columbus, Oh 43215
(614) 463-1234
2. Hyatt on Capital Square
75 East State St.
Columbus, Oh. 43215
(614) 228-1234
3. Hampton Inn and Suites- Columbus Downtown
501 North High St.
Columbus, Oh. 43215

I am not sure where these are in location from the seminar but they are suggestions.
All of these are in downtown... blocks from the Convention Center...There are others a short drive (10mins) in a great shopping area called Easton. I will get numbers for them and post
Denise - I'm going on Friday, too, and I think everyone else from my group is going on Saturday. So maybe us "orphans-for-the-day" can find each other there!
Like I mentioned these are located in a great shopping area...Lots of neat stores. There is a new Archivers scrapbook store going in there, but I am not sure when it is opening. They have already begun hiring so I would assume soon!!
Thanks for the other hotel posts. Much appreciated. Now I have to decide what I want to do. If there is an opening for guests next week I may have a guest with me. Otherwise I all alone...
