The list has not come out yet. I am anxious and can't wait! Hopefully in the next TAC newsletter it will come out then.

The new catalog comes out at the end of June.

I hope this helps!

Hi Ladies,

I'm very new to stamping and I just read this thread about TAC and was wondering what everyone thinks about these stamps. I realize this site seems to be primarily about Stampin Up products, but I assume other stamps and resources are OK to discuss, too? Pleas let me know if I'm wrong. It's just that looking at the links to this company, it seems much more economical than SU and many of the demos offer very nice incentives and freebies, on top of the incentives offered by the company itself.

I'm just curious what everyone thinks about this company?
Thanks for sharing,
Tami

I like TAC a lot.

They are cheaper than SU! if you buy them unmounted, but their wood mounted sets are more expensive than SU!

Quality wise, they are equal. Image wise, I think that TAC is getting better each year.

I prefer SU! ink and CS....better by far, thicker and just better colors...both companies have good deals, I buy both...depending on what I want/need at the time. As far as the "deals" offered, it will all depend on your demo.

It is only $300 per year to demo for TAC - demo discount is 25% off the top, and $1200 per year to demo for SU! - demo discount is 20% off the top (quarterly minimums added up) so if you are thinking about signing up, that may be a factor for you.

I think some of the hostess items for TAC are paid for by the demo too...like they offer 1/2 price items for hostessing, and at a certain hostess level, that comes from the demo, not the company...I think anyway. SU! pays for all the hostess stuff.

And yes, you can discuss TAC here, even though it is mainly SU! enthusists here.

I absolutely love the stamps, and their stamps are versatile and different. I also like the easy storage, I store all of my stamps in CD cases, and I don't have to worry about storage again. Not to mention their Angel Policy, no restrictions.

To be a demo as previously mentioned is very doable and no monthly minimums to worry about.

Default Thanks for the info

Thanks for the info on the discontinued list

Regarding the poster who asked about TAC:

For stamps, TAC is hard to beat .TAC sells unmounted stamps but they are very easy to use. Each set comes with a full set of easy mount backing so its really easy to get started. I just purchased a bunch of TAC stamps and I now LOVE unmounteds. They have even motivated me to use other unmounted that I had lying around.

I think the quality of TAC stamps is comparable to any other stamp company out there. Once you can get yourself to accept that the use of wood blocks is not mandatory, the you’ll have no problem with this system. I LOVE the acrylic blocks ‘cause they let you see exactly where you image is being placed. I have well over a hundred individual stamps from other companies and I plan to unmount every single one of them for use with the clear acrylic blocks.

I really like the TAC images too and the fact that they are so much less expensive than mounted stamps. I just cant wait to see the new catalog!!

Inks and paper are really not an issue for me. I don’t limit myself to what is offered in a particular company’s catalog and generally think that the catalog companies have poorer offerings than non-catalog retailers in this regard. I love Bazzill and Fox River paper and IMHO, I think they beat everyone else’s for quality and texture. I also use lots of patterned paper from other companies. I also primarily use versacolor and colorbox inks which I get generally, on sale. But for stamps- I LOVE TAC!

I am new to this site and fairly new with stamping. I started off with the cheapy sets that you pick up at Michaels and the $tree. Then I started with TAC! I love them because they are unmounted, like the other ladies have said. I started storing those in cd cases as well and love the fact that I can use the acrylic blocks on them and see where I am stamping. But, now I found someone that sells SU here and I have fallen in love with the stamps!! I wish they would come on the EZMount system too. I just can't see myself unmounting them now. I did hear some others suggest that you unmount all stamps by throwing them in microwave for about 10 seconds and peeling them apart. Then you can coat the backs with Aleene's Tacky and use them for your acrylic blocks. They store those in 3 ring binders! Sounds like a cool idea there too!!

I don't want to hijack this thread but I have a few questions.

1) The system that TAC uses for unmounteds -- it it EZ mount

2) If you microwave the SU stamps and peel them apart, the back is really sticky. What do you do next? Do you peel off the foam leaving just the rubber and then put on EZ mount?

3) Are there any TAC demos who would want to exchange a discount? I am a SU demo, but really like some of the TAC stuff.

I have all my SU stamps on wood, but I think I want to unmount my other stamps -- like those $1.00 Micheals/AC Moore stamps. I am just a little nervous since I don't know anyone who uses unmounted stamps.

Thanks,
Donna

Default TAC

I'm new to stamping just went to 1 workshop and had one myself and thinking of becoming a demo, it was with SU but now I hear about TAC. Is there a website that I could check out the stamps and information about becoming a demo? Thank-you for your help. I have been reading this SCS for a few weeks and I have learned so much about stamping. I have never been on the computer this long that my kids have to ask to do their homework. Thanks again!!

TAC stamps uses the mounting cushion that is exactly like the EZ Mount cushion.

You can do it the way the previous poster mentioned by putting them in the microwave for about 5-10 secs and peeling the sticky foam on the stamps, and then getting the Mounting cushion and placing the stamp on there. Or you can leave the sticky part on and still use them with the acrylic blocks and then store the stamps as usual in CD cases.

I haven't done that for wood mounted stamps that I have.

For more information on TAC you can go directly to their website at http://www.theangelcompany.net.

I have card and project samples on my website as well

I hope this helps,

Thanks so much for all the advice Ladies. I'm sure there are enough of us out here to spread the wealth around to multiple companies, choosing something that strikes us from where ever we find it. I am very happy with my Stampin Up products and I look forward to trying out some from TAC.
Thanks again, Tami
