WT97~Background check!!
Goooooood Morning friends!!
I am filling in for Julia today. Her mom is in the hospital for treatments for the next 2 weeks. If you believe in prayer, how about sending one up for Julia and her family, OK?
This week's challenge is Background Stamps!! This is a re-run challenge from June 2005...WT12. Here's what Julia said for that challenge:
I actually used to hate these stamps as at first I found it difficult to get a good impression with them. If you do a search in the forums you will find some really great threads with tips on using these stamps.
Background stamps are great for adding texture and interest to your cards. I also like to use them for tinting or shading the cardstock to a slightly different hue or tint by using a darker ink, a white craft ink or a different color altogether. Background stamps are also great with versamark, embossing, pastels, markers, "kissing" and just about anything else you can think of. Can't wait to see what you can come up with!
Also, you notice WT 100 is quickly approaching!! Julia is cooking up a great challenge February 15th with some great prizes that you are SURE to love!!
Have fun everyone!! Don't forget to put wt97 in your keyword so we can all see your creations!
Here are 2 cards from me:

I did this card last night for this week's Color and Sketch challenges, but I think I can get a three-fer here because it also used a bg stamp, a lot!

Well, I just tried to leave for work and discovered a dead battery! I was so disappointed to not have time for this challenge this morning, but now I guess I do since I have such a good employer who says "Oh well, see you tomorrow!"

I'm going to try to do a fresh one when I get home from work, but pretty much every card in my (small) galelry has BG stamps.
Here's a
Pretty Princess that uses two background stamps layered.
Prayers for Julia and her family!
