Hi -
Guess what I found while cruising my Viking catalog. I found china markers in WHITE. You can get them in boxes of a dozen at $8.16 per box. Now I can do crayon resist without stealing the white crayons from my grandkids.

China markers similar to crayons in that they are wax. But you can use them to mark on metal, glass, china or any polished surface. They are resistant to moisture (work wonderful for marking freezer containers). They also have pull-strings which sharpen them.
Go to Viking's web site and search for China markers.
I am going to get a box of white markers so that I can do crayon resist. I have also used the black ones when we cut up beef for our freezer. Before there were readable dates on canned goods, I would date my cans so that I knew which were the oldest (I used to buy in large quantities when my kids were at home). I still use it to label my home canned fruits, vegetables and pickles.
I never knew they made white ones though, I only knew about red and black. They also come in yellow.

That is cool -- I just use regular crayola's cause I usually do not go through them so fast, and a box of crayons is only a dollar . . . DD uses the other colors.
I just learned at a stamping convention that you can use any color or crayon to do the resist on glossy paper. You wipe it off the glossy card stock when your done and none of the crayon is left.....besides the crayon doesn't leave much color on the glossy paper anyway. I haven't tried the colored ones on Ultra Smooth yet.

Hey Sue did you know that you don't have to have a 'WHITE' crayon...you can use other colors although the lighter ones are easier when you're rubbing it off.
