Smile Alpha Decisions...

I scrapbook (mainly) and make cards (when I need them). I want to buy an alpha set, but want to get the most use out of my set. Which alphas do you use most often?

I scrapbook and use my alphabets ALL the time! I LOVE my Whimsical, Big Deal, Headline, Tidy and Spunky. I think most of them are retired or were in mini catalogues, so they're not available anymore. I have Brushstroke, Bold and others also, but I find them a bit too small. They are maybe better for smaller albums. HTH!!

I have classic, headline, and whimsical. I use headline the most, followed by whimsical, then classic. Classic's just too small to use as a title...

I only have Letterpress and Brushstroke and use them all the time. I've been wanting Whimsical for a long time now after seeing Kimmie's pages using it. It's good to have a variety of sizes.

Of those listed, the only one I have is brushstroke... I just asked for (and received) headline alpha to use in my scrapbooks. I do 12x12 pages, and thought the larger letters would look better on the bigger pages.

I actually don't use any of the choices from the poll much. Instead I often find myself reaching for collage. One reason is that it looks fine if it's not 100% perfectly lined up, which is great for me!

Default Alphabets

I love the Headline and the Letterpress Alphabets. Of the above listed I have the whimsical lower and that has been fun to mix it up.

I use whimsical because I don't need to line up my letters; I stamp them all crazy crooked on purpose. The whimsical set really works for this style.

I use my typeset alphabet all the time. I had to have that set when I first saw the front page of the catalog. I also had to have rough edges alphabet.

I have the brushstroke alphabet. But I no longer like that style.

The only one listed that I have is the Best Friends. I bought the Spunky one out of the mini last summer and I got the Headline one for Christmas. Love that one the best.

All I have right now is Letterpress. Love it on my scrapbook pages.

I love Letterpress for my albums, but only seldom use it for cards. But Whimsical is a really nice scrapbook alpha. If you only get one, get the lowercase. While I use Brushstroke in my albums too, I think Whimsical is much better for Titles (Brushstroke is kinda small).

I use Headline and Big Deal the most when scrapbooking. I love the size, especially Headline, and they're super easy to cut out when you want to. I use mostly 12x12 books, but also used Headline in the 8x8 that I made for both my mom and grandma, and it fit well. HTH

While I like and use headline I find I use whimsical the most. It is easy and fun.

Default alpha set

Whimsical is a good choice as you can use the upper and lower together, just the upper, just the lower or mix 'em up and when you overstamp with the solid rectangle, it gives another whole look. One of my customers likes that set because even if she doesn't stamp in a perfectly straight line, it still looks good.
