Thanks for the great time, the wonderful, beautiful, awesome projects - and especially thanks to Danita for teaching us all how to properly Butt Stamp! Here we are except for Lisa who had gone out for some fresh air.
I must say this was one awesome day meeting so many ladies and trying so many new techniques and ideas. Our thanks goes to Sue for all the hard work than went into making today such a success. I can't wait till the next time to see you all again.
Okay, I WAS outside getting some fresh air (what a gorgeous day!!) but I was also "working".......one of my customers from Springfield IL drove up to get their order---a new stamper and excited to get "stuff"......so while you guys were playing, I was doing business!
Thank you, Sue, for all your awesome (pretty/cute! ) prep and work. You made it such a fun day with all the goodies and organization!! I'm impressed that you've only been doing this for a short time!!
Meeting all the great ladies from SCS was so much fun---it's great to put a face to a name. There were so many cameras there, I'm sure we'll get some great pictures (and the cameras didn't break!!). I can't wait to see everyone's notes & photos.
Hopefully we'll get to do this again soon in Mahomet.
Have a great Sunday........I told DH that I'm "stamped out", believe it or not!
Yup, Mahomet it will be next time. It will be fun to move around Central IL and gather other people that maybe could not make it as far down/over as Lincoln. Our motto could be "Have stamps, will travel" Ha ha ha
I think Sherry's idea of having a swap after the new cattie comes out is an excellent idea. Go for it girls. How long did it take you to get to Lincoln from Mahomet?
Just an hour from Mahomet - Lincoln excluding the time that we had to turn around and backtrack in Lincoln because one of the signs was missing.. LOL But your directions were great Sue!
Kudos to Sue!! She did a fabulous job putting it all together and the 'extras' were just icing on the cake!
Thanks Sue and congrats on being a new demo!!

I was just going to post should I include the time I had to stop and call for directions and then go to the gas station? ;)
I had a great time too! Can't wait for the next get together.
I feel sad that I could not attend. By all the smiling  faces it looks like you all had just way to much fun!!!! What a happy group. Please let me know when you plan to meet again--I would like to come!

Fuzziegal - Keep a watch out for the next one - it will be probably after the new catalogs come out and will be Mahomet.
Someone left a very nice pen at the rec center yesterday - anyone want to claim it? It's yellow, black and silver and is a SRX click-it by Roseart. I'd be glad to send it to you.
Sue
I had the BEST time yesterday! Sue you totally ROCK!!!!
I still can't get over all the extra special touches you did to make our day so much fun! Wow! I sure hope I have your energy when I get to retire.
I dropped off my film today so should have it back before the end of the week. As soon as I get them, I will upload the pics to WebShots and post the link.
I so enjoyed meeting everyone and finally getting to put faces to all the names! And all the fantastic (cute?! ) projects everyone came up with - WOW! Thank you ladies for introducing me to so many new and wonderful techniques!
I can't wait to do this again. Sounds like August in Mahomet!! Sherry - if you need help, let me know!

Sue, I think it's mine. I couldn't find my sheet that I was marking off numbers on when I was completing projects. And I didn't grab my pen either. If you want, you can mail it, otherwise I'll grab it at our team meeting Dawn is planning. Thanks a bunch!
Sue - I have to chime in with my Thanks! You did an awesome job. I had a blast! So many 'new to me' techniques to play with. Thanks to all of you ladies for sharing your time and expertise.

Sue - thank you so much for everything you did. You went above and beyond just to make us all feel welcome.
I just have to say that my shopping list just went out of the roof with all of the new fun stuff I played with there.
- beads
- punches
- sterling silver embossing powder
- marbles
AND the list goes on.
Thanks everyone for such a fun day and I can't wait to see pictures.

SCS IL SWAP
First...Thanks to Sue for the MORE than she needed to do for each of us...It was a great time.. Second, I learned so much.. and had fun too... Third, I came with friends...saw some other friends and met some wonderful ladies with great talent...I am glad Krista asked me to join her......The best part was seeing so many things that I can do with stamps I already have...
Well I hope I am not the only one who can't put all faces with all names, with all scs names. with all projects.. LOL
Would you mind sending me a private message and give me your name, scs - name, email and where you appear in the picture and which card you made. I could then send everyone a compiled list and keep it a reference for when we start planning the next event.
Off the top of my head I am thinking the second Saturday of August after the new catty comes out, then if we could TRY to stick to a new set we could have lots of fun trying other sets out before we purchase too many.
Send me a private message or an email to your thoughts and for the compliled list. Thanks.

central Il Swap
Thank you again Sue, for the" more than you needed to do": everything was great...I learned so many new and fun ideas , I am glad that Krista asked me to join all of you...
Ok ladies - I got home from the swap and called my Doctor about my eyes and the blurred vision. He said that it is a side effect of the antibiotic that I was taking. The pamphlet that came with the medicine says "it can cause problems with vision particularly when looking quickly between objects close by and objects far away. These events include blurred vision, difficulty focusing and objects looking doubled".
It would have been nice to know all of this before the swap. Boy did I have a hard time stamping that day. Thank you to everyone that read directions, set eyelets and poked brads for me
You guys were such a help.
Thanks
Randi

Jill - GREAT pics! It was all over just too soon!!!
Randi - Thanks for the update on your eyes. I was going to send you an email and ask how you were doing. Are they feeling better, now?
Danita - Can hardly wait to see your pics, girl.
I've been wondering - what are all of you going to do with the things you made on Saturday? I almost don't want to give them away. I do plan to use Kristina's for my Mom for Mother's Day - such an adorable card.
And wasn't it cool to use a stamp that you thought you'd never want - only to find out what beautiful things you can make with it?
I am gathering the list of names, emails, etc... and will post them soon. The thinks I made I have shown off to several people of course including all the ladies I had over on Sunday. I think the purse and idea pad will go into my box with other non-card ideas. The cards into a box of samples and possible give aways if the occasion is just right and I need that special card. I too hate thinking of giving them away but I guess that is what we made them for. You can always scan it and put the file or pic somewhere if you want the idea saved but share the joy of giving it to someone as well.
Let's keep the conversations going here for awhile but when I start to plan the next event will start a new thread like "Hey Illinoisians, part2" does that sound ok? Still looking for feedback on the dates previously announced.
Looks/sounds like you girls had a GREAT time! I will be watching for the next one forsure! I was helping host my 8yr old neighbor's pottery painting birthday party!!! That was fun too..............but not quite as much as swapping would have been!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep me posted please, for the next one! (after the new catty and convention I hope!!!)

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
My eyes are getting better. I stopped taking the meds as soon as I found out that they were the cause. It took about 2 days for them to go back to normal. Now I know not to take those anymore.
I showed my cards to my new recruit and she loved them. I don't think that I will give them away. I like to save them. I will case them and give those away.
For some reason I thought I took more pictures than I actually did. I have one of me and Sue that I will post once I put it on my computer.
Chat with you all soon

Keep me posted!
